I dont actually know if they could do anything during the winter due to the causeway. As far as i can remember it was blocked with snow for a long time one winter.
Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved
Snow removal isn't much of an issue. I drove the barrier beach route past CP (Chausee or whatever and however you spell it) last February after the big blizzard and they had it cleared shortly after the storm subsided. The drifts were huge though. Higher than my car.
Chris- I'm just curious, but if they may be opening on May 10, why is a show scheduled to start May 9? Could they be opening on the 3rd and starting the show the following Friday? Thanks! :)
May 3 would really be pushing the weather issue... I actually hope that they don't open that early next year because I'm planning on going for opening day for my first time ever :D
(And also meet up with some Point Buzzers for the first time ever!)

I am rooting for May 3rd, happens to be my birthday as well. So I might be a little biased. :)

And all this needs to be done for all 68 rides by the time the ride ops come in to start training.
The park has 69 rides, but assuming they are taking out Peanuts Express and replacing it with seven new rides in Peanuts Playground, the park will have 75 rides in 2008.
