CP vids

I have some videos from last summer thought you would like to see. Let me know what you think.

I loved your videos, especially the MF video mixed with Linkin Park and the overall park video. In my opinion the overall park video captures the essence of the park's magic. It literally gave mean chills on the intro of that video. Very well done.

On another note, I hope you like being overwhelmed by bandwidth usage. :)

Go to bed Gannon! ;)

Seriously though - I just watched the "overall" video and it also gave me the chills. I love the way you mixed in "the Dragster sound!" That sound is so cool! And then the people cheering on the midway was cool too. Is it May yet? :)

wow, very nice vids. I love how you put that TTD one together too!

ONE MONTH TO GO. Thanks for sharing your cool video's. It made my day and I admit I keep watching them just to get excited about May 3rd ( my processing day).
That's awsome. I haven't had a chance to share these with many people and it's great to hear the possitive response. Yeah, I was already cut off for the day due to bandwidth. And I can't get a stream server for the vids. Anyone know how I can fix this? On my day's off this summer, I'm gonna be shooting a lot of footage. That shot of TTD going with the cheers was the first manned launch since that month stretch of it being broken down. I got chills when I was there with the camera. It was pretty sweet. Well, if you wanna watch them over and over, could you download them? HAHA. I don't know how my bandwidth will hold up.

Thanks for the responses, and hopefully it will be up again by tomorrow.

Did you have to remove the files from your server because of bandwidth problems??

That's TTD Speech is awesome. I've been looking for something like that forever.

Opening Day - May 8, 2004 :) It's coming

Keep Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!!

They are still there, but you have to change the url to find them. What you will need to do is click on a link to a video and then delete the "/templates"part of the url. So /Templates/Video/ttd.mov becomes /Video/ttd.mov. If you are wondering how I know this, I thought that the /Templates part of the url looked strange and tried removing it.

By the way, great videos, I can't wait for opening day.

Thanks for the tip, Coasterfan! That worked great!

After CoasterFan posted the tip for the download I was able to get the videos - I have to say they are very nicely done!!! Can't wait to to attend CP this year!!!
I still can't get them to work and I tried that trick. Anything else I have to do besides get rid of the /Templates part?
Just a guess, but they probably don't work because Ryan's provider is unhappy with the bandwidth they were sucking up. See above.
Loved the sound of the hydraulic room, and train flying by coming over the music on the TTD vid. Cool.
I was able to download them last night.

Thank you, Ryan, for using QuickTime! :)

In general I thought they were pretty good. I should point out, though, that you might be able to improve the presentation a bit (though it would make them slightly less accessible) if you encode with MPEG-4 instead of Sorensen. I've found that by using MPEG-4 I'm able to get a lower data rate with much higher quality, better frame rate, and larger picture. MPEG-4 encoding is built in to all versions of QuickTime 6 and higher; you should be able to choose any of the available QT-compatible codecs at the encoding stage.

Dave,
Thanks for the advise. I've had some problems with compression and bandwidth lately. Maybe this will help, plus I wasn't very happy with the quality of the vids but was just happy to see them on the web. If any one has any suggestions about streaming that would be awsome. I'm kinda in the dark about the whole thing. Do you need a stream server or something? Cuz I guess thats expensive or can you set up the video when encoding to be streaming? Suggestions would be great.

Thanks For the imput.
