CP should open an online store

With three million visitors per year, an online store for souvenirs could be a great moneymaker. I'm wondering why they haven't done this on their website.

Hmm... wonder if I've just created a job for myself with CF? :)

They did have one on the old web site. It didn't have a lot of products though, and it wasn't updated very often.

I want to take it one step further: a Cedar Point Store similar to the Disney Store. It's not very practical, but it sure would be fun, huh? Locations in Sandusky, Detroit, Cleveland and Toledo. A good way to get rid of extra merchandise during the off-season and sell some season passes. Maybe even have a food area for fries and cheese-on-a-stick.

Actually, several years ago, Cedar Point did open a store during holiday season at the Lake Erie Outlet Factory on US 250. I seem to recall not being very impressed. Anyone else remember?

I think an online store, if done right (their first attempt was not), would be profitable.

If they did open a store, I would expcect a limited amount of merchandise. Basically logo t-shirts and the like. If they keep it simple they could pull it off.

Thats the amazing thing about webpages they can be used to make a profite instead of a useless expense.

The reason they probably have not done that is becouse they would not be makeing money off it. If I had a place like that down the street I would not bother to buy the stuff at the park.

If I am not mistaken, there was a Cedar Point store for a couple of years in the Sandusky Mall on RT 250. I don't remember what it was called; I think they sold CP as well as other merchandise. You may have even been able to purchase a season pass certificate there at one time.

My memory is a bit fuzzy; seems like it was 10 or so years ago.

I remember a long time ago Cedar Point bought a small chain of gift stores. There was one in the Richmond Mall on the east side of Cleveland. I can't remember the name of the chain, but all the stores were renamed to Cedar Point Gifts. They must not have been profitable as they were all closed after about a year or so.
I would like an on-line store. You could buy the 1999 map and some Camp Snoopy stuff. I am still kicking myself for not buying a park map when I had the chance. I wish I would have bought some new T-shirts to wear during the off-season. I mean just look on e-bay there is a demand. Now if Cedar Point would just supply.

Cedar Point now has an online store!

Only 2022 stuff though :/ Can't find the 1999 map for some reason.
