CP resorts for Opening Day

We decided to spend saturday night so we wouldn't have to get up way before dawn to drive to CP, but it looks like none of the resorts are available...with all dates beginning with May 9.

I assume this means the hotels aren't operating yet, and there will not be any resort guests getting in early with JCC members on Sunday morning.

Can anyone confirm this, or should I make the call to the resorts?

I can confirm that. We had the same idea as you but when I called resorts the lady said they wern't open until May 9.

Honest truth told to me by marina gate readmissions host:

Host: Hand stamped, two cents.

Me: That's cool, I think I have two cents.

Host: I better not take it, by the time you leave here its all you'll have.

The Radisson is open year-round; it is generally considered part of "resorts" for early-entry, but I don't know if that will be true on Sunday.
I've got JCC so early entry through resorts isn't necessary. We are considering getting a room in Sandusky.

It's nice to know that at least for opening day the early entry for JCC is JUST for JCC.

Good Point Brian. I was just about to say something like that. I stayed at the Radisson with my family last season and we got in early. Just show them your card they give you!

I thought the Longaberger people controlled Breakers opening weekend last year. I was thinking maybe looking into the Radisson for this weekend, but there was no availibility. Does that mean it's full, not open, reserved for basket people? I don't really know. Comfort Inn will have to do! :) It's cheaper anyway.

I know that the Maples usually isn't open for opening weekend but they are open this year. I've never personally stayed there but have heard if you can handle train whistles it's good for the price. It's also close to the back entrance of the park.

We opted for the $54 rate at the Red Roof Inn in Milan (near the turnpike). It's further away, but we've stayed there before and it's a nice hotel for the price.

Not having to get up to be on the road by 6 am (we plan to be at the park by 8:30) will be nice.

I'm staying at the Radisson tommorrow night, so I guess that means it's full, but it's definately open.
