CP Railway...new route for '06?

So I hear that the train has a new route for '06 has been re-routed? How so? After speaking with a few fellow former employees, we agreed that it'd be nice to have it go past the front of the park ala The Magic Kingdom...(complete with grand Victorian station) but that would entail re-vamping along the old IMAX, Blue Streak, etc.

What is the new route?

The track near the White Water Landing site was moved 14 feet closer to perimeter rd.

They aren't to do any major retracking to the CP&LE RR if they don't have to. To my knowedge that retrack was essential to the "'07 Project". That would be a lot of work to make the train go all the way up there, a lot of areas to fix and all that. I don't think they have time to do that kinda thing.

CP & LE Railroad is really changing, but over MIA they're changing their train ride to a two station transport ride. This is the first step towards expanding that park.

Combining the midways on that side would be an idea too, making 1 big circle around the lake/wolverine wildcat.

I believe the train is the first steps toward doing that exact thing. The park screams a good ol' B&M.

No it doesn't. The park could use a nice S&S Tower ride. I think with the addition of Grand Rapids, the park has enough water rides. I'm sure there are some more family-friendly flats out there that would be fitting too.

Have you ever been on the train at MIA? It's like the train in Peanuts playground....lol. I hope Cedar Fair plans o expand MIA soon. It's a really nice park and the coasters are great but it's so small and they have a parking lot that takes up more room than the park. Anyone who has been there more that twice, have you ever seen the lot entirely full? I have only been twice and both times I wondered if the park was closed at first.

They are expanding the train at MiAdv this year to head back to their new ride. Adding another station, even.

The parking lot at MiAdv fills to overflow many times in the summer. The waterpark is the current main draw at the park. MiAdv's waterpark is better than Soak City at CP. Bigger, too.

Not only have I seen the main lot full, but people across the street and everywhere else they could park.

I opted to go fishing that day on one of the many nearby lakes.

I visited MiA on July 5 and the parking lot was packed. Shivering Timbers still only had a 10 minute wait though.

That's because most were probably in the waterpark.
