Ok, I do not think that this was very well known. Last saturday and sunday (26 and 27th), Cedar Point pass holders were allowed to go to GL for free, and also bring a friend in for free. My wife, my brother, my friend, my daughter, and myself decided that we would take a short vacation there for the weekend. (I live in between the two parks, but closer to CP) We stayed in the mario hotel saturday night. On sunday morning we tried to re-enter the park for the second day of our trip. The employees informed us that the deal was only good for one of the two days.
After talking to a few of the managers at GL, they called CP and confirmed that it was in fact supposed to be for both days, to make a long story short (too late) they let us in after delaying our day about 15 minutes.
I am not upset anymore, as I do understand that miscommunications do happen. I would have raised hell though if they made us pay for admission the second day.
I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. There were several other parties there that had the same problem, but were all let in. I did not know if any1 were PB members.
Sorry for the long post,
Mikey
Wow Keith, you are a real nice guy. Posts like yours add so much to this site.
Mikeybo, I was there on Sunday but not Saturday. What I did find interesting was that they made my wife and I use paper passes instead of our cards.
Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point
How exactly would they use your CP Season Pass to get into GL if it isn't programmed into the bar code on the card itself?
Of course they gave you paper passes.

Ride on, MrScott!
I'm not surprised that you encountered anything like this... I mean there is 3 times as much miscommunication within the park itself, let alone between parks.
