CP Pass @ MiA

I'm planning on going to MiA in a few weeks, and I have my Cedar Point season pass. I was wondering how that works out, like do I enter the MiA gates just like how I enter at CP? Or instead do I have to stop by their season pass center?

You'll have to stop in the Admissions/Group Sales office. They'll have you sign a paper, write down your pass number, and circle which CF park it was issued from. They'll then hand you a comp ticket which is what you will scan in order to enter the park. Our Admissions office closes after 5, so if you want to avoid problems try and get in before then...right James?

I am just wondering, but is it like this for all park chains?

Paramount and Cedar Fair both have teh same procedure. At Six Flags you just take your card up the the main gate and they scan it just like it was their own Pass.

I don't know about Busch but I am assuming they do it like CF and Paramount.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

I have a MA pass (got a great deal), and when I go to CP I just walk up to the Season Pass entrance and a employee there fills out a form and lets me in.

I've got a CP season pass, and tried to use it at KBF this summer. I was told by the nice lady at Guest Services that each CF park uses different barcodes (unlike SF), so the season passes can't be scanned at the enterance gate. You'll notice that the barcodes are different sizes on the different park's season passes.

So to get around this problem, CF policy is that you have to stop by Guest Services and show them your season pass to be handed a comp ticket. No big deal -- I'm willing to jump through an extra hoop or two for free admission to multiple parks. :)
