CP on Wheel of Fortune

One of the prizes on tonight's Wheel of Fortune was a trip to CP! Very nice presentation, and the prize was worth a little over $5000.

With this, and the question on Jeopardy, I wonder if CP is going more national than regional? It would certainly make sense with the resort facilities they have.

Well, if more of the changes we keep talking about on here happen, then they could easily go very national or even global. Talk about good business.

Pretty cool publicity, if you ask me, although did anyone notice that the CP space on the wheel looked rather boring? It needed some jazz. Or at least a picture of a coaster on it. :-P

Also, could someone fill me in about the appearance on Jeopardy? I watch it all the time, but apparently missed this!

^ I knew this joke was going to show up... I see this as a bad thing. I'll assume that it includes a 4 night stay at Castaway Bay and 4 passes to Cedar Point for 4. Dinner included as well and Airfare.

I'm pretty sure it includes airfare also.

My mom told me about this! I was stoked to hear it! I was thinking it might include staying at Breakers since it is right there and higher priced.

Well, seemingly, seeing as $5000 seems like a lot, even at Cedar Point.
Actually, that'd be pretty cool if they got Platinum Passes, too.

I assumme they would be staying at Sandcastle Suites. Maybe part of the marketing related to the renovations?

An airfare estimate is probably a good chunk of that. You have to realize that when value a prize like that, you include the most expensive airline tickets available. Obviously if the person who wins lives in Alaska, it will cost more to fly them to CP, than someone who lives relatively close, say Chicago.

Keep in mind, the airfare would have to be to Toledo or Clevland and need to include transportation from the airport to Sandusky.

.. actually.. if you listen to most game shows, when airfare is included they state "Round trip coach airfare from Los Angeles." as that is where most of them are shot. That's when they give away things like China, Japan, Australia, London.. Not too sure about Cleveland Ohio but chances are it falls under the general rule.
