I know that this topic will not last long. But OMG The park was amazingly busy today. I have seen it slower on the 4th of July. I felt like I was going up river to spawn while walking down the midway.
Fright Zone was only one way because of the crowds. You were not able to enter at the skull end, you had to walk around or take the train to go through twice, and there was a line to get into it at the legless man. I was parked in front of the auxillary (sp?) exit gate. I do not think that I have ever seen them that busy.
Peace Mike
OMG was it packed yesterday. We took the toll highway, which had a huge line both ways getting off towards Cedar Point. Then once off the highway, we were stuck in traffic from Kalahari to our parking spot at Cedar Point.
I live three hours from Cedar Point. Yesterday, I went in Fright Zone once, CarnEvil once, Lair of The Vampire once, and Werewolf Canyon once. Did not get a chance to ride one ride, it was that packed.

I was supposed to yesterday evening, I guess it is a good thing I didn't. I got to stay home and watch USC beat ND!
The parking lot was full all the way back to the toll booths, even on the marina side. But the Soak City lot was less than half full (at least when we left), so there was room to cram more in. :)

The busiest day of the year is usually on a Halloweekends Saturday.
No it's not! The busiest day is almost always on a Saturday in July or August.
It was freakishly busy. They're going to have to consider adding another haunted house next year, I think.

It was busy, and also Rides kept Breaking down. But still a fun day.

Not saying like back in the far past... But the last few years I have been there on a Saturday for halloweekends.. they have always had one busier then a July's saturday.
OMG!!! I've never seen it so busy. When you have to wait in a line OUTSIDE for the women's room for a good 10-15 minutes(by MaXair) you know its busy. We arrived around 8:30pm and went on 1 ride. MaXair did not take too long(30min).But forget every other ride. At least we had fun in Fright Zone and CarnEvil.
I wish the cam for the parking lot was on again. It was so nice to see how crowded it was. I don't think we would have gone if I knew it was going to be that crowded, but we still had a good time as always!
What were lines like for things like Millennium, Raptor, and Wicked Twister? I'm going this up coming Saturday and hoping for a bit of a rainy day to keep people away.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
The crowds get bigger every year. Good for business but bad for us phreaks. We will be there for closing weekend and I am expecting the worst. I've visited the park on all the other "busy" days; 4th of July, Saturdays in summer, etc. but the worst crowds in my experience are Halloweekend Saturdays with nice weather.

I was there last Saturday and although it wasn't *too* crowded, MF was only dispatching a train every few minutes. So the line, although only about 1-2 sets of turns plus the ramp, was estimated at 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
The crowds were insane. We took the train past MF, and the entire queue was full except for the last turn. When we hopped in line for it at midnight, they still had 3 hours posted on the wait sign, but by then the queue was only half full. We didn't even do any of the haunted houses because the lines were ridiculous.
I went for a couple quick rides on Magnum this morning before we had to leave, and I was talking with one of the ride ops in the station, and he said that he'd never seen the park as crowded as it was on Saturday. It was absolutely nuts, but between Friday and Saturday, we did manage to get almost everything done.
Are you sure this isn't the Atlantic Ocean?
GO TIGERS!
Yeah, it was majorly crowded that day. MF was about a 2 - 2 and a half hour wait through out the whole day. I am so glad we got 2 rides though.
It was about 2 hours for Raptor, 1 hour for maXair, 1 and a half hours for Wicked Twister, 1 hour for Magnum, and 30 mins for a hot dog and some fries ;)
We didn't bother going through any of the haunted houses, so Im not sure how busy those things were.

They might have said the line was three hours for MF, but I can assure you it wasn't. Even with the slow dispatching, it wasn't that far beyond the vending machines.

When we checked out of Lighthouse Point, we were told there were around 40,000 people in the park Saturday, and it was one of the busiest days of the year. And at around 9:30 Saturday night Millennium Force's line said 3 hours and 30 minutes, and the entire line was full, they were standing right outside by the entrance. Magnum was 1 1/4, Wicked Twiser was 1 1/4, and Raptor was 1 3/4, those are the other ones I saw around the same time. *** Edited 10/16/2005 9:37:55 PM UTC by randinator***
I was also there on saturday I got there about 4 and went back to meanstreak thinking it wouldn't be so bad but...I waited 2 hours then left the park around 7:30 and people were still comming in the park! For me it wasnt bad living only 30 minutes from the park. Besides i just got back from there today (sunday) and it was not bad at all today.
