It was at the end of a nice fathers day piece on Steelers linebacker Larry Foote. He was told 2 years ago that he had an 8 year old son and he has had custody of the boy since. At the end of the piece, back in the studio, Rich Eisen asked the reported what Foote and his son were going to do for fathers day and she said that the 10 year old wanted to take his dad to Cedar Point but Larry is "terrified" of roller coasters :)
That is cool as I am from Pa. and also a huge Steeler fan. We will be there too. It would be great to run into him.
We'll overlook the fact that Larry is afraid of coasters as long as he continues to hand quarterbacks their butts.
Totally agree Doug. Do you think Big Ben would ride any roller coasters now and would he wear a helmet? lol
Ok since were talking about the steelers her i will just say this... When I was at the Point on monday I was wearing a ben jersy and at 9:45 pm we got in line for TTD and there was a cop at the entrance and said she wished he would of just died! I was like why would you want him to die? She said she was a big Browns fan and hated the steelers. So my mom said that we hate the browns but didnt wish any of them would die and the cop just kept saying he should die and then me and my big mouth said well i hope a wheel falls off of the dragster and hits you in the head and you die and then next nfl season terroist blow up the browns stadium! I said that right to her face and she just looked at me like she was mad and then i just left and rode TTD. Its funny now that he is ok and will be playing some this year. But now i hate browns fans! Sorry to you browns fans. Just a funny story of how some cp cops are stupid.lol.:)
Let's Get Weird.
I don't care how much I dislike a team, I don't wish death on any of their players. Someone that immature has no business being a police officer.
cool

I'm hearing the same crap from Bengals fans. After the Bengals lost the playoff game to the Steelers, when Carson Palmer was hurt in a collision with Kimo von Oelhoffen, people from around here got nasty, nasty, nasty... like Bengals were ever "guaranteed" to win.
Now Roethlisberger gets into his motorcycle accident, and while most people were decent, some, especially Bengals fans, were a little happy in the "he had it coming" mood. Excuse me? Now, I have an issue with not wearing a helmet on a motorcyle AND playing football, but he's learned his lesson now. And on a side note, how are roller coasters more dangerous than football?
Whatever happened to you is purely absurd. I've had a few CP staffers get snippy because I was wearing a Michigan football shirt. If you can't show your support for the team you like, no matter where you're from, then you must no longer be in a free country.
My teams are the Colts... and the Steelers. No more bungals gear for this Cincinnatian.
MOO!!!
Don't stereotype fans from one city. Angry sports fans are everywhere, even Michigan and Pittsburgh.
That's true Walt, but I have heard a lot of tacky, classless remarks from Bengals fans since the wildcard game with the Steelers. Kimo Von Oelhoffen used to play for Cincy and was good friends with Carson Palmer so I will almost guarantee that that hit on Palmer's knee was unintentional. Yet most Bengals fans practically wish death on Kimo and the Steelers because of it. Like CoastersNSich said, were the Bengals guaranteed to win that game? Palmer or no Palmer, Bungals fans need to look at what Pittsburgh did to the Colts and the Broncos the following two weeks. Sorry, don't think Cincy was gonna win that game even with a healthy Carson.
Everybody at my school are cincy fans and get mad at me cuz their QB got hurt and then i say well if he wasnt such a wuss mabey he would have still played! :)
Let's Get Weird.
Police Chief Dominic Costa said the woman driving the car [causing the Roethlisberger accident] had received threatening phone calls. She had filed a police report and the calls were being investigated, he said.
I guess that means I'm allowed to make a blanket statement covering all residents of Pittsburgh. And here I thought all the classless people were confined to Cincinnati.

See my problem is, I'm a huge OSU fan.
That in itself isn't such a big deal. It's that I really like Penn State, too. I dated a girl some time ago who wound up at Penn State, and on the day of the OSU/PS game, she would refuse to talk to me :) (in a friendly rivalry sort of way, kind of like the way I boo michigan at the lase....err hot summer lights)
See my problem is, I'm a huge OSU fan.
That is a problem.

I'm shaking my fist at you as we speak, Walt ;)
But there's a second line in there that I'm sure you'll appreciate.

I felt alone in a sea of Michigan fans last Wed night during Hot Summer Lights.
Oh, by the way, OSU is Final Four-bound in 2007!

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
