CP Improvements for 03

we all know about the 400 ft track covered tower next to iron dragon, but my question lies elsewhere...

what about mantis gettin a paint job? i thought i heard rumors about that(i know, rumors) but did it(or will it) happen? also the brakes, i heard they turned off the trim brakes on the drop. does anybody know for sure?(prolly not but its worth a shot)

wildcat it purple now right? i remember seein a picture of it i think, but will they change the name? i realize its not really likely but wildcats arent usually purple(tho i guess it works for northwestern)

is there anything else new going on there? or does nobody know? im just a little curious

Please note the long keys next to your "Z" and "?" keys. These are known as the shift keys. When pressed in combination with a letter key, the computer generates a capital version of that letter.

Capital letters are used at the start of a sentence, and are always used when you refer to yourself as "I."

Other helpful keys are the space bar (the long unmarked one at the bottom) to make blank spaces between words, and the apostrophe (next to your enter key) used to make contractions.

DELETED!

Wow Jeff, you are so smart, but in reply to the topic:

Mantis is being painted, and Wildcat has already been painted in a purple and lime green color, I believe. As for Mantis' trim brakes being turned off, I'm not sure.

"What is it?"
"I heard it was the worlds largest revolving restauraunt"
"Oh Yeah, well I heard that they melted down wicked twister to make it"

Mean Streak's first three hills are being worked on, Mantis has been in the process of being repainted for a few months now, parts of Blue Streak are being re-tracked, Wildcat is still Wildcat, just new colors. And, of course my favorite: This will be the biggest year in the park's 132 year history. As quoted from Janice Witherow...

What does it mean to be Overhauled and touwqued?

-thanks

Rideman can help me on the torque part, but to be overhauled means to have some major maintenance done to something, probably replacement of cables or parts, who knows for sure....

Torqued is tightening the bolts to a specific tightness. Overhauled is probably just normal off season manitenance.

House of Tomorrow: Only technology makes live worth living

When most parks do their overhaul, they physically remove the trains from the track and bring them into their maintnance buildings. From there, the train is dismantled and stripped to its chassis. Then they inspect the parts and rebuild the train with the new parts needed and placed back onto the track. Also, annual maintnance work is done to the mechanical stuff like gears, brakes, and the lift.

Stay kewl,

Cap'n Kirk

But the "overhaul" doesn't mean doing horrible things like putting brakes on first hills, right (ie Mantis, Mean Streak)?
It could include that, but its not likely on the above mentioned coasters...

We've been through this before...there are two places on Millennium Force where they could easily install trim brakes, but the reality is that on some days the train barely clears the last turnaround (across from the railroad station) and any braking at all would probably result in an inability to operate at all on chilly days. I don't think we need to worry about the park adding any brakes of any kind to Millennium Force.

It would be nice if 'overhaul' included repainting Millennium Force with the correct color of blue paint in the areas that they have touched up in the past two years... :)

I think the most noticeable change in the park (other than the obvious) is likely to be a whole bunch of new fences...
