CP: get hip to Sea World's "Manta"

Splash Downs are far from new, has anyone ever heard of a small little ride in California called the Matterhorn?AS for a lake erie dip, soon the magnum will have sunk far enough for that and we all can get Zebra mussels with our lampreys.

Matterhorn? What's that? Where is that?

From what I see on the Sea World website, the unique feature of this coaster is the way the riders are positioned. They show them being pulled into a horizontal position underneath the belly of a manta ray, so you get the feeling of gliding with the ray. Neat.

On the other hand, they also announced the end to free beer samples at the Hospitality House. One hand giveth, the other taketh away!

^There have already been several coasters that have been built the with the exact same riding position, this is just the first to theme it with an animal.

And I'm able to say that I got one of the last free beer samples ever at both SeaWorld and BGA. I was there over New Years and did the V.I.P. beer tasting and free samples at both parks. It's a sad day that they are ending free beer at Busch parks.

^ I'm glad we got the beer samples and "beer school" before they pulled the plug on them. I honestly found it to be one of the coolest things about the park. Kind of like Holiday World's free Pepsi, only 100 times better. :)

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

I always found it funny that Budweiser, makers of the 2nd most varieties of the same bland beer (beaten only by Miller) has a beer school. You can only sample so many light beers before they all taste the same.

I found they actually had a pretty nice variety, which surprised me. I did not dare to sample the mixture of Bud Light, tomato juice and clam juice however. That just sounds gross.

Ever gone through it? They offer up plenty of different varieties including Bare Knuckle stout, a couple of different ales and the like.

It's pretty awesome. One of the weirdest things being into all the good beers that I am - I actually like Budweiser, a LOT. Once I learned how to pick out flavors in beers, I've found that what can be found in it is actually quite tasty.

See, for a pale beer, Labatt's has much more flavor than Budweiser. I just find the "King" to be fairly bland.

I find those 2 incredibly similar. Not to mention Budweiser's history, the whole reason Adolphus Busch started brewing it was for it's mass appeal and un-offending flavor palate, which got more Americans to like beer, because ale was really the most readily available brew at the time, and they have a tendency to be a bit more robust.

I understand why he started brewing and why Bud is the beer it is.

That doesn't make it terribly good. ;)

It's that distinct Labatt Blue flavour that I hate. I don't know what it is but I just really dislike it. And the problem with that is most people around here choose Blue as their house beer since it's brewed just a couple hour away (but so it Bud for that matter in the same brewery). I'd choose Bud over Blue any day.

For shame.

I'll pour you a nice cold class of Molson Canadian John and we'll talk.

Now you've redeemed yourself. Molson is definitely better than Labatt's (and I'm a Labatt's guy).

Although, Labatt's did have that awesome 4x4 R/C cooler a couple years ago, and the beer dispensing lounge chair.

I would prefer to ride maverick then kick back with a nice cold Bell's Oberon Beer. I enjoyed hitting the back of the park by maverick and meanstreak then wandering over to the saloon and never having to wait in line for a Beer. I drink very seldom and it was very refresing on a nice sunny warm day at cedar point. Every time I went to Seaworld in orlando, the hospitality center was closed so I never got to experince beer school. Bells Brewery here in my town, has just recently started giving out tours. Its a very intresting tour.
