CP Dodgem history

Does anyone remember the Dodgem ride that used to be where the real part of midway market is now? I think it was removed when the new Dodgem cars were built by the Witches Wheel in 1977 and ran until 2001{I wonder what they will put in there?}. The cars form that ride was sent to the midway Dodgems built in 1970 and that rides cars was sent to Michigan's Adventure. Also don't forget about the Krazy Kars in Kiddy Kingdom.
I think for a long time the original front of the park dodgem was uses as a stroller rentel. I had forgotten all about there being a Dodgem in the front of the park until I looked at an old map from 1975 that the Sandusky library has.

I remember riding the Dodgems where Mideway Market is now, and they were the best Dodgems at the Point. Much better than the newer version. The cars were fast, easy to spin out, and the bumpers were a much harder rubber so you got a really good BANG when you crashed into someone.
