Hello everyone,
first post, long time reader. Now that winter is fast approaching, I was thinking, how can CP help out the average guy who isn't loaded with money? Easy!
1- Free parking. Not sure what the current price is, $3? Even if costs $5 to park, that is too much. Just make it free. Park tickets are expensive enough.
2- Lower food prices. I think $5 for a Subway footlong at CP is way too high. Make it $3.50 for a footlong, and you will see your sales increase and make everyone happy.
3- Lower the price of bottled water. $1 is too high for a bottled water. Let's try and get it down to 75 cents. That would be awesome!
4- Make the FastLane pass a little lower. What is the cost to add this on? I think currently it is like $6 or $7 extra. The average Joe cannot afford this, on top of the reg. park ticket price. Just lower it a bit to $3 and that should work.
I fell the above price adjustments will benefit everyone, including CP management. Any other suggestions?
Parking is $15. The lack of the "benefits" you speak of clearly aren't hurting the park.

This is a joke, right..?
1: Those prices are woefully inaccurate.
2: Cedar Fair is a business designed to entertain guests in a way to maximize profits. They are not out to "help out the average guy".
3: They are making record profits despite current pricing and slightly reduced attendance. Why would they drastically slash prices?

$15? Wow......I had no idea. Doesn't that seem steep to you? Are you rich?

Why would they slash prices? Well, remember, they owe us big time. CP broke that water pipe last summer, remember? A lot of people sued CP. They can really come off as a nice guy and avoid trial by lowering the prices.
....Fun fact: CP doesn't exist to help out the average guy who isn't loaded with money. CP exists to make money.
....Tip: if you think a CP Subway footlong costs too much, don't buy a CP Subway footlong.
....Tip: if you think a bottle of water at CP costs too much, don't buy a bottle of water at CP.
....Tip: if $15 for parking seems steep to you, don't go to the park.
....Oh, my. CP owes "us" big time because "CP broke that water pipe..."? I'm sure Oiumet himself was out there with a hammer destroying an aged water main to ensure his company would get sued...

That is my point.! No one can afford Subway foot longs and water and parking! You need to be wealthy!
Another long time reader and first time poster.
CP owes us nothing in regards to the water main break. Why people are still harping on this, I have no idea. Were people inconvenienced, yes. However, the decision to close was for YOUR safety.
My family and I are not wealthy - and you do not need to be wealthy to go to CP. We plan all year to get our passes (which pay for themselves quickly). That eliminates the parking expense. Also many times through the year there are discounts on-line or through advertisers, and sometimes even local stores sell discounted tickets. I'm not saying it's cheap for a family to get the CP experience, but you don't have to be wealthy. You simply need to be a thrifty planner.
You don't need to eat in the park. As someone else said, you don't have to eat the Subway sandwich. Eat off site. That's what we did almost every single visit. We either left the park or had a cooler packed in the car. Also, you are permitted to bring in unopened bottled water.
And, to chime in with the others . . . they are in business to make money. Period.
