CP Collecting Help

Over the past year I have lost a lot of intrest in collecting CP items. Outside of a few Magnum items and personal items, all I really collect are the carvings from Paul.

One thing that has really interested me over the years is the advertising image used of the girl in the red dress on the surf board from the era around 1910 im guessing. There are a handfull of places you can still see this logo in the park today. One is a billboard back on the Antique Cars, and the other spot is a small poster inside townhall, and if I'm right I also think that its on the back cover of the second printing of "Queen Of American Watering Places."

I was just curious if anyone has seen this logo on anything else like postcards, brochures, advertising materials or whatever. If you have anything or know anyone who does, post a reply here or shoot me a PM. Thanks

I don't recall seeing this emblem. Try e-bay. It might have something.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

Ebay is a great place like the person before me said. I got a 1910 CP Postcard off of there. Just have to keep checking a lot for something good to appear. Maybe antique shops?
I have a few older Cedar Point brochures (older than 1950) and I don't recall seeing the girl in the red dress on any of them, although some of the older ones have similar images, just not in a red dress. Walt would be a good source.

Sorry Dan, I thought about it and really have no idea where else you can find this pic. E-bay seems like the best place to look. If you decide to break into town hall, be sure you grab the Blue Streak model for me. ;)

By the way, you wouldn't still happen to have any of those souvenirs from way back in '98 would ya?

Packed away in a box, somewhere in my house, I have a few of the 100th Season coins.. My Aunt worked at The Point then and could get them by the bag. That was still in the day when you could just walk in the park and then buy a ticket to what ever you wanted to ride.

You might also check in Flea Markets and Junk2Jewel places..... I found a Raptor Tshirt at the Pevely Flea Market in MO.

Please remain seated until the ride comes to a complete AND final stop.....

There are a number of antique shops over on Marblehead. If you get a chance to stop over there you might have some luck.

Yes. Marblehead would be a good place to look seeing that it is right there almost next to the point. try any of the little towns and such around there.
