CP bottled water

I was curious, how much is bottled water at CP? Hopefully not more than $1. I get thirsty sometimes in the hot summer, and would maybe buy one or two throughout the day. I wouldn't pay some obscene amount like $2, but $1 would be acceptable.

Bahahaha. I believe the going rate is $3.50 for bottled water. Of course, if you're not opposed to tap water, you can get a refreshing 2 oz cup of water for free at any fountain drink stand.

Drinking fountain.

Yep, drinking fountains! They're located all over the park and some are actually cold.

Yeah, I will never understand the complaints about the small cups, when there are drinking fountains all over the place.

Bottled water at the park makes Inkjet toner cartridge prices look like a value.

With both, the "cost per ounce" is outrageous.

Except you can't take the drinking fountain with you over to the hour long line.

You can if you reuse one of those fancy $3.50 bottles! :)

Better yet, we bring in an unopened bottle or two in the morning (as is allowed), then refill it throughout the day. When riding, the bottle is easy enough to empty and crush into a pocket-friendly size, so no locker needed.

The only downside is that we don't get to complain about how CP is all mean and stuff. ;)

Does the water from the drinking fountains taste rusty? $3.50 for a bottled water? Gheez. $20 for a footlong Subway sandwich and a bottled water....lol. Unbelievable.

The water from the fountains is fine. Some fountains seem to be more reliably cold than others, but they all hydrate you.

It's a plastic pouch water bottle that folds up when it's empty :D

Im pretty sure they are 4 for $10 or $3.00/$3.50 each.

I found a similar one on Amazon, but it's $7. Considering a bottle (from a 24-pack) costs around $0.17, I think I'll stick with the bottle method. It looks nice, but I can't imagine those pouches would last more than 42 trips (42 x 0.17 = 7) without being lost or damaged.

Even at $3, it would need to last more than 18 trips to be more cost effective than a re-purposed water bottle.

You can go up to most of the vendors and just ask them for a cup of water for free. It's a really small cup.. so maybe ask for like 4. That's what I usually do.

Why do some people expect a cup of water to be free?

Water is not free to the park.

Ice has cost of water, electricity, equipment maintenance, storage maintenance and transportation.

The cup has size proportionate cost, bigger cups cost more.

Employees wages to cover service and storage and transportation and signage.

Trash removal has costs as well.

And yet there is FREE water available all over the park, but that still doesn't satisfy some people.

How do you survive a day in the park? I only ask half-sarcastically. I mean, queue handrails, ride seats/restraints, the employees handling your food, the kitchens themselves, the vending machine buttons, currency, and so on. All of those are going to be as bad and in many cases dirtier than a drinking fountain.

I wash my hands before I eat, but I really don't eat in the park that much. But with a drinking fountain, germs are going directly off the fountain into your mouth. However, I am less germophobic during the summer than in the winter when alot of stuff goes around.

This is called the cost of doing business. CP is responsible for the safety of its guests and failing to stay hydrated could pose a serious health hazard. Some states have even passed laws requiring businesses to offer water free to consumers in some form (ex. Drinking Fountain or tiny cup).
