That must mean one thing.....Cedar Point is bound to have something higher than 420 feet...with that fact, that is the only thing I can assume. I know it is unreal...but there is only one way and that is up

Not a hyper, but what is the name for 400 feet, terra?

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?
100 = mega
200 = hyper

400 = ???

Laugh ye not too hard at my piddly stats. MF: 3; Magnum: 5; Raptor: 2
If understand that knowing is half the battle, but what's the other half, chicken fingers?

I dont think CP s going for height record this time.. I think its speed..if anything.  According to the first screamscape rumor the Hide Park Intiman was going to be 105 meters tall.. The conversion for 105 meters is..344.488189 feet.  Now they are saying its going to be the tallest in the world with a speed of over 105 MPH!!  OMG can you imagine this one?!  Dont count on CP breaking the height record on this one............this year

Ah yes, the famous mega-hyper-giga-?-?-terra list. Exactly why is "terra" attached to 600? And did people actually call 100-foot coasters "megacoasters?" I don't think we should be looking for patterns with SI measures, people will just call it whatever sounds cool :)

4 is penta, i believe
Why did we skip 400? There is no common metric prefix between giga and tera. Megacoaster is around 200 feet. Expedition Ge Force is called a "megacoaster." Giga is 300 Feet. Exa would be 600 feet.
10^18 exa
10^15 peta
10^12 tera
10^9 giga
10^6 mega
10^3 kilo
Somehow, I can't quite imagine people calling the first 600-foot-coaster an "exacoaster."

Remember when "giga pets" and "nano babies" were all the rage? I sort of doubt that the marketing experts were sitting there with charts of SI units.

'Penta' is actually 5. Pentagon--5 Sides.

So I guess a 500' coaster would be a Pentacoaster

Could 400ft be tetra-?
Those are not metric prefixes, tetra, penta, etc. MF would be called a tricoaster. :)

They should just name it Big Coaster.

Folks, it's quite simple.  Since giga has absolutely nothing to do with hyper, the term for a 400 foot coaster should have nothing to do with giga.  I say call it a hellacoaster.  (Mr T: "Man, that coaster is hella big!")
I don't know who did the list, but I think they had one up to 10, but I believe it is a follows(at least up to 600):

mega/hyper
giga
tera
peta
exa

This is if Intamin follows its trend.

"Trend"? What "trend"? I've heard the term megacoaster used before, but often when describing coasters less than 200ft in height (at least, that's what Six Flags does.) I really don't think you can call something a trend on the basis of just a couple coasters here and there.

Why should Cedar Point have something up tall up their sleeves.  Just becuase they're Cedar Point, doesn't mean they're gonna break the height record very other year!!!!
True , CP will go for the tallest coaster of it's type though, every coaster they have made since Gemeni has been the Tallest coaster of its type.
