CP #1 compared to other parks...

Just returned from my California coaster trip and had some input regarding other parks and the comparison to CP...The condition of PGA and SFMW were very well kept up and did have some very nice themeing (Bathroooms dirty though :( )but dont compare still to CP esp ride ops...I found that in the parks I visited I was very dissapointed and even a bit nervous at times with the ride ops and there ability to take there job seriously...Joking and laughing are one thing during there job but to do it in visible site of the park patrons and over the intercom made me feel a bit uneasy and angry...CP IMHO has always taken there saftey issues very seriously and therefore i have always felt safe..well out in CA I at times did not! Makes me wonder at times how seriously maintenance is taken out there too??

Also the line jumping out there is existent too!! I got into so many arguments with youngins and such about cutting that I got a bit disgusted at times..I mean its nothing for someone to walk from the back of the line(without jumping line rails) through people and all the way through an hr line to the front without people blinking an eye or saying anything!! Its like its accepted out there and I am now convinced it was..Maninly the young teens and "california kids" as i call them now...Thank you CP gen Public for having common courtesy...

I mean overall I had fun don't get me wrong..its just that I am so glad I have CP to call my fav and home park of them all I have been too..There way ahead of the class in every facet I critique when I hit other parks..

The coasters out there were great though and pretty universal (as far as design firms)..I got to experience some new sensations such as the 1st flying coaster stealth or the new floorless Medusa at SFMW, and invertigo (SWEET) some similar rides out there too such as top gun (raptor), vortex (mantis), roar or wolverine (mean streak)....would love your opinions on my snapshots....

so how was Stealth?? it seems like it would only be good in the front. glad you had a good trip and nice to see you back. and it's REALLY nice to have our CP feelings vindicated and reinforced!! thanks JS!!

ride early, ride often!!!
Awesome pics, Jeffrey...Yeah, would like to know what did you think of Stealth and is it worth making a trip out there?

stealth was very cool from "any seat" because all you have to do is look down and get the sensation of flying!! putting your hands out adds to the sensation...your on your back (lying) for some of the ride and on your stomach (flying) for the other half..it has twists in the track which turn you without notice all throughout...The wildest sensation was going up the first hill on your back looking up at the sky and not knowing when you reach the top til your there!! Very cool coaster with new sensations and believe it or not you do feel some airtime on your stomach..lol:)

Glad you had fun Jeffrey!
I am doing my Ca coaster tour next summer. This year my husband and I did SFGad,Hershey,SFO,PKI and Cedar POInt.I have to agree with you on alot of things.I have posted NUMEROUS times on here and especially my trip report(which everyone should read)that Cedar Point is definately superior to ALL parks. From the location, which is beautiful, the rides, tghe food, the ride ops,the guests and everything in between!PKI rated a second on my list for great rides..Beast and Son of Beast are incredible, and if you enjoy In-the Dark coasters,Outer Limits is done extremely well.
SFO was the worst, ride ops were non-existant(mentally)the park filthy,I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe there and the line cutters were existant there also.
Im definately going to Cedar Point again next year but the others I would have to think twice about.
