cover every coaster

when i go to cedar point on the 17th i want to go on the front on every roller coaster in the park except for the really small ones like jr gemini, ccmr and stuff like that. I was wondering if anyone has any tips of where to go from beginning to end. I'm staying at Breakers and will be getting into the park early. I also don't want to wait in a line over 30 minutes and I do want to ride Dragster (if it's open). I will probably run to that first though.

Well, first of all, you will have to wait in a few lines over 30 minutes, espically if you want to ride front seat on every coaster because there is the extra front seat line.
This is very true with dragster, if its running, it takes a while just to make it through the front seat line alone. But it is worth it, its the most amazing ride i've ever been on.
You will probably have to wait for over a half hour for raptor, millennium force, dragster, and maybe mantis, wicked twister, and magnum. I suggest hitting the big rides at either the end of the day, or go durring ERT because you are staying at a CP resort. And I would sit on the very back seat on Wicked Twister rather than the front, its the better ride in my opinion.
The park can be easily done in a day though, I've done it on more than one ocassion. I usually go in the order of; Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Magnum, Gemini, Mean streak, CCMR, Disaster Transport, Wicked Twister, Raptor, Iron Dragon, Wildcat, Millennium Force, Mantis, and Top Thrill Dragster. And then I usually have time for another ride or two after that. I usually don't do raptor early because its the first ride peope see when they come in the park, so everyone does it first. And I've never used ERT.

yeah, i forgot about how much longer some of the lines are for the front. I'm just bringing a friend who's never been to or near cedar point and i want to leave a good impression on him.

is the line short for millennium force during snoopy's little "america is awesome" shindig.

Shindig: little meeting or preformance

this is what i did last friday. my girlfriend and i got to the park when the park opened and headed to the back while everyone went to millenium.

we rode, the magnum (1st ride of the day), gemini, mean streak, white water falls, and the mine ride before like 11:30. then we hit mf (1.5 hour wait) and some of the others up front. but it was nice to get all those out of the way so early and quickly.

the lines were:
mf 1 1/2
mantis 45 minutes
wicked twister 1/2 hour
everything else was 15 minutes or less.

but things change when you get into the park a 1/2 hour earlier than everyone else. you could get on mf quickly then head to the back of the park. have fun!

wow. I went to see that before and i didn't see anything about other nations. To be summerized it was some lasers, a recorded shot of the american flag, and snoopy doing a really bad job pretending that he was jimi hendrix playing the national anthem. That was last year so has it changed?
Here is a tip for getting the front seat (it only works if you are going solo). This works for Raptor & Mantis the best. Wait in line for the second row. Wait until there are only 3 people in the front car and then go and steal the extra seat. I always do this on Raptor. But if you are with a friend, you probably will be waiting a LONG time. Even Iron Dragon and Blue Streak have long lines for the front.

Race For The Sky!

I would reccomend going to Millie first and then hit Mantis right after that. They will both have waits later in the day. Then hit coasters right in that area like Wildcat and Iron Dragon. Ride TTD right at the end of the night if it is open.

3 TTD rides in 2 hours!

Just remember you are going at a very busy time of the year. So I don't know if you will get the front of every coaster but good luck. I would suggest Raptor or Millennium Force first. Also, don't forget to add in Dragster if it's open.

ummm the nations he was refering to are in muppets 3d in disney (i think), cp's show is still the same its just not called what you called it. its called somthing like summer laser spectacular

and yes it is possible to cover the 13 or so major coasters in one day, my friends and i have done it several times this year

If you really want to ride every ride and leave a good impression on your friend I wouldnt ride in the front for every ride. First of all it doesnt seem like you want to wait in a long line. You will find on some rides the front isnt even the best. You will find a very long line for MF's front car. I would say if you want a good ride the back is the best. You will find the same thing for magnum. The ejector seat is definately the best! I wouldnt find anything wrong with waiting for the front for small coasters like CS and ID and coasters like that. Riding in the front is definately the best on Raptor, WT, and TTD(If open). Skipping the front on some rides will save you some time so you can ride in the front on those. I HIGHLY advise you to not ride MS in the front at night- one reason-BUGS!
If you really want to ride MF in the front I would advise you to run to MF in the morning and ride iy first thing, then ride in the back on the second go around.
------------------
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Are your ready for some speed? We've got 120 miles per hour! Are you ready to get vertical? We've got 420 feet. Are you ready for the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world?! ARE YOU READY FOR TOP THRILL DRAGSTER?!?
If you've got early entry, Millennium Force and possibly Raptor will be the only rides running at 9:00 am. Enter through the Resorts entrance (by Wicked Twister). If you make a quick run to MF, you'll only have a few train wait for the front.
------------------
Without upstops, airtime would have a whole new meaning!
save the magnum till the very last, bc u can just ride it right before u leave the exit to go back to the breakers at nite..i do this all the time, and u can walk right up to the station and ride it like 5 times in 30 minutes before u leave the park.....also, wait till the end of the day for Raptor, bc the line is always long in the morning bc everyone goes to it first since it's in the front...i've been there where the raptor easily gets to 10 minute waits in the evening

------------------
Top Thrill Dragster: 1
Millenium Force: 13
Magnum: 56

Hey im going to CP on July 17th too.

------------------
You had better scream now, because at 420 feet no one can hear you!!

I highly suggest the front seat of Raptor and Wicked Twister, though either on on Wicked Twister is good, it seems alot faster when you get to see everything fly past you.

But the Raptor's line is very short in the evening from my experience this year. On June 14th, it cut down to 15 minutes after 7:30 PM. But use your exclusive ride time on Top Thrill Dragster so that they long won't be overwhelming and then walk to Millenium while the general public is getting into the park. (assuming you can get in and out of the Top Thrill Dragster in that amount of time, it is a foot race with other ERT's)

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

Here is what i think i will do after listening to all of these things. please feel free to criticize and tell me what to do instead.

1.ttd 2.mf 3.power tower 4.mean streak 5. eat and get massage 6.get mf fastpass 7.get raptor fastpass 8.chaos 9.wt 10.see how things play out for rest of day. use fast passes when time.see what my friend would like to do again. 11.Raptor at evening 12.magnum later on (a couple of times) 13. mf and wt to close off the day.

i also will hop into the ttd line before closing. is the line very short at that time?

ALWAYS GO TO THE BACK OF THE PARK FIRST! Usually in the morning Mean Streak is walk on, (although i do not know the running conditions of it these days since it rolled back but whatever) then hit up CCMR and gemini, magnum, corkscrew... you should be able to ride all those rides in under an hour... maybe 45 mins at the most...and dont forget to hit up the shooting gallery :) and get some elephant ears :)

I have seen 1 hour and 45 min waits for Raptor at the beginning of the day, usually the back of the park is empty at the beginning of the day... most people start at the beginning and work thier way back, and its smarter to start at back and work your way forward

TTD: 2 (Rollbacks seen: 1)
MF: 18
WT: 8
Usually at CP: every mon, tuesday, thursday
