Could we PLEASE get an all-male platform crew?!

Doggone it, I've been through this before, and I thought they had fixed the problem. Apparently not.

I got two rides on Millennium Force yesterday. Woo hoo! The first time, I sat down, fastened the seat belt, pulled the lap bar down until it touched, the platform dude came by and checked both, and I was on my way.

The second time, I sat down (in the same seat, as it turns out, the back of Car #5) fastened the seat belt, pulled the lap bar down until it touched, the platform dudette came by and checked both, and decided that the 3" between the end of the lap bar and the edge of the seat was too large. Exact same bar position.

The critical problem? Because the support is attached the bottom instead of the front of the lap bar, those of us who are slightly larger than the seat is deep will come into contact with the lap bar support before we come into contact with the lap bar itself. The bar support, because of its angle, literally squeezes the most sensitive portion of the male anatomy against the seat, even though the lap bar isn't actually touching the rider's stomach or thighs.....

Who thinks Intamin's lap bar could use a little refinement...

Tell me Dave, did you make an somewhat unnoticed "X" with your arms like on a similar MF ride last season?? :)

I don't think that the solution is getting an all male crew, the females need to realize that the guys need a little more space (I'm not saying that all the females dont realize this). I'm a female and even I cringe when something "owwie" happens. yeouch!

force, no he's serious. He's had a problem with this before. I, on the other hand, haven't had a problem with it. But then again, I try to get as much space between me and the bar as possible. :)
I know this is the MF board, but I always have that problem with Mantis. I understand that it is important to be "snug" in the harness, but really. Sometimes, I just want to get off from the start, when they decide that I'm not in enough pain already and have to make a big deal about unlocking the restraint and pushing it up...way up...ouch

Sit forward in the seat for Millennium Force when the "staplers" come buy. On Mantis I always just complain about it being to high after they make me raise it. Otherwise, I agree 100% with you Rideman. Something needs to be done.

So Far I found that the stapling rate between male and female crew members is about the same, it really depends on who you get (I wont name name's) It may have been bizarro world yesterday, the female members were giving me the breathing room while the males thought it was necessary to shove the bar down there. I think they were just jealous ;)

I do sit forward, so after I scream OUCH! for effect, I just sit back and although its as not as much room to make the ride great it is pain free.

I agree that something needs no be done. The ride may have more dangerous effects with the lap bar down all the way than with it up a whopping 3". If someone falls out with the seatbelt on tight and the bar up 3", sue me.
