Could this be it? With a loop?

The following is part of an e-mail message that my brother sent me tonight. He spent the weekend at the point with his family. He worked at CP for 4 years in the mid 80's and still has some contacts there. I say still take it with a grain of salt. I can't imagine how big the loop would have to be on this thing.

"There is track and support posts laying by the Mean Streak and also in the Soak City parking lot for the 2003 thrill ride. Some DJ broke the news on Saturday that it was an Intamin 410' thrill ride that would shoot out of the station, go straight up, then straight down and into a loop and then back to the station. My old boss was doing "damage control" witht he press all day Saturday as nothing has been officially announced. I bet it will be soon!"

Now damamge control could be just putting out false rumors or just giving "no comment" anwsers. Iteresting to see if this ends up being true. Personally, I hope it's not. Seems too short to me. Maybe thats what Jeff talking about though.

OK. I'm a new member but I've been a lurker for some time. Just really haven't had reason to post. I'm not saying this 100% correct. All I know is that my brother knows people. I've been to the park w/him and seen him interact with people he knew from "the old days". If you read what he wrote, it still doesn't say much. Was the DJ one from a coaster line or from a radio station? What exactly does "damamge control"? Are they flat out denying the rumor? If it wasn't so late right now, I'd call him and ask some questions. I guess that will have to wait till tomorrow.

The DJ was just reading GTTP. Duh.

Thats funny because there was only one guy in PR on Saturday and that person didn't talk to anyone in the media.
