Cottage Layout questions

Anyone who's stayed at the LHP Cottages, how is it sleeping 6 adults? We've got an air mattress available as I only know of 2 of our group who will actually want to share a bed.

Is there room on the floor for more than one air mattress? (I dont' know if anyone will want the top bunk.)

So I'm thinking 2 on floor, 1 on couch, 2 in bed, 1 on bunks.

If anyone's tried it before, please let me know.

Thank you

Me and Ben could always share a bed. ;)

That's always a possibility. Bring enough alcohol and the sleeping arrangements will solve themselves. ;)

There's definitely NOT room for two air mattresses on the floor in a cottage unless you put the table outside on the deck. LOL!! We slept seven in one when I was there. We had two in the bed, two in the bunks, one on the futon, and two on an air mattress. But, that was just for one night. The other nights we only had five people.

What's wrong with the top bunk? If you fill the top bunk, you're fine with the setup you have. Just make sure you schedule showers because the water tank is TINY. (Or use the shower facilities outside.)

I'll sleep in the top bunk - I spent several years of my life in a bunk bed.

So the tank is smaller than the cabins. We've had upwards of [mumble] people in a cabin before and no problems with hot water.

Oh I don't know if its smaller than in the cabins. But, there's a little sign in the bathroom talking about how many showers it can supply and how long it takes to warm back up. We didn't have issues ourselves because half took showers the night before. Not just for water, but time reasons as well.

Time isn't so much an issue on Saturday (park isn't open till 12). But I see what you're getting at.

I'm an early riser (7am) and a quick showerer (is that a word?), so that should help ease the load.

That should help. I'm in between. I'm up early if want to be, and a quick showerer if I want to be.

I'll also have a portable grill (haven't decided on propane or charcoal). And grilling food with me. Along with some TASTY beverages.

Well, if you go with propane, I'd be happy to supply my 10# tank. As for the beverages, well, I'll be happy to drink them. :)

You do know there's a charcoal grille right on the deck, right? For each cottage.

Hey, I get to stop by for a tasty beverage or 12, right?

I'm aware, however, I've found that propane is much nicer after a 12 hour day in the park. As much as I love charcoal flavor, I'd still rather use propane.

And, I've found that having a covered grill helps the food cook quicker (dug) so I prefer that over the open pit thats there. Especially if the wind picks up off the bay.

There is nothing like ending a day at CP with propane and propane accessories, and a fine cognac with a cigar.

I like to take frozen steaks and seal them into a bag with marinade and let them thaw in a cooler during the day and use them to keep the silver bullet cold. Which by the way is much easier with the new "frost brew liner"!

If you are tall, you will find the shower...interesting.

Oh, I already know about the shower from staying in the cabins. It's interesting trying to wash my hair.

The only downfall of the cottages/cabins!

Or, is it a downfall to being tall? Muahahahaha!

The showers are just weird. I'm short and I still thought the layout was poor. But, it worked.
