I know this is pretty much the same as my Hill Theory thread, but that wasn't garnering as much attention recently. I haven't seen many photos of the corkscrew, put from what I have seen, it looks like it may be the same from either direction you enter it.
Could this "crazy idea" of a roller coaster that launches 2 directions be getting less crazy?
I figure we will know in 11 days (9/5).
ALRIGHT, YOU HAVE NOW SURPASSED YOUR THREAD LIMIT. STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ride-on
Why should he? You've surpassed your post limit, but you haven't stopped. And you can turn off caps lock. Oh yeah, I got the point after the first '!' I didn't need the other 37.
Although -Muggs, probably could have just kept this going in the other thread. Corkscrews (I would think) should identical in either direction so its not necessarily a tip to it being a dual direction coaster.

Jugga I was just bringing up the point of starting a new thread. Sorry about the caps thing.
Ride-on
I agree with it not garnering much attention. If you want people to comment, posting in a dead thread wont get the post alot attention or comments. I would have never opened the other one just because there was one new post personally. I agree with Jugga I don't know that, that is a sign by any means. Would be awesome thow.
Look at any corkscrew ever in the history of the world. The supports are for the most part the same on both sides of the corkscrew. This dual direction thing is driving me nuts. Why would anyone want that? Think about how much it would hurt capacity!
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
I think it could be done with decent capacity, but not really great capacity. It would be an interesting concept though.

As much of an interesting concept as it is, I for one 100% consider the duel direction thing to be unlikely. There’s nothing really to truly support it. The design of the supports going towards the midway/mean streak just is not suitable for anything to hit at high speeds or even for a lift of any type.
What is this, RCT?:)

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this is a likely scenario for P2007. But it is an interesting idea to discuss, and would provide a pretty sweet ride.

Okay, I had to check. There are indeed 38 exclamation points in Rippin's post. Jugga, you're just like Styx. Too much time on your hands.

^^Yeah, it is and interesting idea to fool around with. It's certianly different from normal coasters.:)

Is the hill taller than the corkscrew? If so, it would travel in that order. The other way around there would be a fair amount of G's at the top of the corkscrew in order for the train to have enough speed to clear the hill.
The layout is puzzling alright - a whole bunch of helixes with a hill & corkscrew thrown in. Very early days, wonder how much track is installed, 10%?
C'mon, the suspense is killing me! I keep checking PB all the time for updates. ;)
No true....the zero-g roll on raptor is not as tall as the cobra-roll.

I am new to this site and have been checking it out over a week so.. I was just looking at funcoast cam and it appears the new coaster ( Maverick??) has either getting another bunny hill, corkscrew, or a loop. Can anyone confirm what it is? The FunCoast cam is blury and I am not able to make it out. Btw, the sharp curve after the corkscrew looks way fun.
The new element going up appears to be a 0g roll. The cam is blurry but is clear enough to make out the rails twisting upside down again.

Yeah it certainely doesn't matter what the size of the hill or the corksrew are. It will all depend on how much speed is being carried at that point. Imagine how much farther and higher MF could go.
Thanks for the quick feed back, This ride was looking dissapointing at first but every day it gets better.
Why was it looking disappointing? I don't get it. What is it that you saw or did't see in the first few pieces of track?
I think it looks very exciting. I've never seen a coaster look quite like this one. And, with an LIM lift, that's gonna be hot.
I was thinking today, I haven't even been on a looping Intamin yet. At least I can't think of one I've been on. LOL!! That's exciting in itself.
