AURORA, Ohio – When it comes to cooling off and the best in live entertainment, you need to look no further than Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora, Ohio. In addition to the park’s impressive collection of rides, roller coasters, kids’ areas and more, Geauga Lake also features a massive 17-acre waterpark loaded with a wide variety of wet and wild fun for the entire family along with live shows that are sure to wow and entertain.
For those looking to cure the summertime blues, Wildwater Kingdom is just what the doctor ordered. From the gigantic water slides of Thunder Falls and the 60-foot-tall Liquid Lightning funnel slide to the waves that flow from every direction in Tidal Wave Bay, a 390,000-gallon wave pool, Wildwater Kingdom is a water-lover’s dream come true. For kids, there is plenty of fun to be had at Coral Cove and Splash Landing – a huge interactive kids’ play area that features geysers, squirt guns and a giant tipping bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water on the four-story structure every two minutes.
For those who prefer to kick back and relax, Riptide Run is a wave-action lazy river where guests sit on inner tubes and float up and down on the waves. For the ultimate in luxury and relaxation, guests can rent their very own VIP cabana. Located around Tidal Wave Bay, these exclusive cabanas include lounge chairs, a table and chairs for dining and full-service food and beverage menus.
For a break from all of the watery fun at Wildwater Kingdom, Geauga Lake features live shows, a 3-D movie and more that are all sure to entertain.
Cleveland-native Tim Hill leaves guests laughing and scratching their head asking, “How did he do that?” during “The Magic & Comedy of Tim Hill,” Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom’s newest show. This family-friendly performance is packed full of card tricks, disappearing people, audience participation and even a surprise visit from Hill’s pet, “Fang.” The grand finale, an illusion known as Metamorphosis, leaves the audience in awe and wanting to see this show again and again. Presented in the Palace Theatre, “The Magic & Comedy of Tim Hill” can be seen daily through Aug. 26 (except Wednesdays) and Sept. 1-3.
Edge-of-your-seat racing excitement is in store for kids of all ages at the Harbor Theatre. “LEGO Racers” follows animated race car driver Max Axel in this total-sensory movie experience. Based on the popular LEGO Racers toy line, this 12-minute 3-D movie pulls guests into the action as the adventure unfolds around them. Each time Max and his pit crew find themselves in a tough spot, teamwork, creativity and imagination save the day. “LEGO Racers” is shown daily.
Kids of all ages can sing and dance with their favorite PEANUTS characters at the “PEANUTS Rockin’ Party” on the Power City stage. Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and everyone’s favorite beagle, Snoopy, entertain guests with their kid-friendly songs and dances. Audience participation is welcome. The PEANUTS characters are also available for hugs and pictures every day at the park’s main gate.
Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom is open daily through Aug. 26; Sept. 1-3; and Sept. 8. Geauga Lake will host its 27th annual Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-16.

"Cure for the summertime blues." Where have I heard that before? Or, Cedar Point circa 1980-something?
"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality."
-Walt Disney
It is funny that they still advertise a wave action lazy river, but I have not seen actual waves in the lazy river for two years. Isn't that kind of false advertising?
