Contract: 3 B/M?

Does anyone know anything about this "never-ending rumor" that CP has a 3 Coaster Deal With B/M. The RAPTOR, and MANTIS obviously being two-out-of-three, with the THIRD Coaster being revealed at some other time. Does JEFF or ANYONE know anything about this. Probably just a dumb rumor, but I found it interesting...

This rumor has been around since arrow. First it was they had a three contract deal w/ Arrow, then it was B&M and now I have even heard w/ Intamin. I doubt CP would ever lock themselves in like that. It's not like CP couldn't just contract them one at a tine, which is the most likely and easiest to deal with.

I've heard of the 3 B&M rumor as well. From what i've heard about it, it was for 3 coasters by 2002. They started immeadiatly with the Raptor, than after 2 years built Mantis, and then at the end of the contract, I say this because it hasn't been built or announced yet, the thrid coaster would be built. I heard this from a bunch of my friends at CP, all employees. But it is probably just a rumor started by the Lemon Chill Guy.

ALso, what's to say that it wasn't a 3 contract with Cedar Fair??? I've heard that one too, which would make Talon the final wouldn't it???

I'm not too familiar with the other CF parks so I don't kwow if any of the others have B&M's.

Jeff, was it you that said Cedar Point would have been fools to take out an extended contract with a company as old as B&M? When Raptor was installed, it was, oh, what, 4 years since Walter and Claude's first ride?

No contract huh. That still doesn't mean that a third B&M won't come along someday. Mabey we will get a B&M hyper in 2002 like CP Dustin said. Well, here's hopein.

Why would CP possibly get another hyper? That's totally pointless. If we get another B&M, it had better be either a standard sitdown looper, or a floorless. We need a new sitdown looper almost as much as we need a good wooden coaster. With 2 hyper type coasters already at CP, we WON'T be getting a 3rd.

I would have to agree with Jman, Cedar Point would not get 2 Hypers. Thats why people like the park, because the roller coasters are nothing like each other. To get another hyper would be dumb when they have so many other options. If B&M does give Cedar Point another ride it will be a sit-down or Floorless Looper.

How does anyone know it won't be a floorless, hyper, looper? CP does like to go bigger and better than anyone else. You never know...

I dont think Cedar Point would ever get a new hyper. Unless its like 400+ feet tall. If they were to get a B&M I hope it is a launch floorless coaster. I been on Hulk and it would be awsome to have floorless trains instead.
