Contest
Here is an idea. Why not come up with a contest that would follow this outline:
A new coaster will be built for 2003. Cedar Point wants you to design a track layout and come up with a name, color scheme, and train design. how about them apples? note: the track layout does not have to be in blueprint form, cedar point will modify your plans into ones that are usable.

do you know when cp is getting a new coaster for sure? I hope its soon although nothing can out do the mf.

No, we do not know when Cedar Point will get its next coaster, although we can SPECULATE that it may be 2002. I hope I have spoken for all.

when did we all become aerodynamics wizards and design engineers?? I guess you guys can dream...Cp is set as far as the future in regards to what coasters will sprout at the Point..We'll know when they want us too..
They could hold a contest for paint scheme and name but thats about all :)

Why not forget about all the other coasters and stuff and just build a design in UltraCoaster. It has a decent design engine and almost any element can be used. Than just make up a name and color scheme. CP could still have a contest and if they actually pick a winner, could change the design slightly so that it would work in the real world, and find a place to shoehorn it in. CP could just use a possible future coaster contest theme.

No problem, bakes, we try to keep it all friendly around here.
As for the contest, I really don't think that CP would ever use a fan's design for an actual coaster. Haven't we established the fact that CP puts a lot of thought into their coasters and usually comes out with one of the best of its kind?
