It appears that at least a portion of it will be buried...but that most of it will be above ground. It's amazing what they can do with the beach.

I think they will update a lot more frequently on Wicked Twister's construction. We already have many, many photos and we're one month into construcion.
They could also update it more because they are ahead of schedule, and they would have more time.

from these pictures it looks as if the floor of the control room is raised about 3-4 feet off the ground.
