That turning radius back into the station is tiiiiiight. Really says something about the maneuverability of the new trains. Very cool!
It certainly looks tight, but I think it might actually be a larger turning radius compared to the O.G. TTD's turns.
Remember - there were two smaller curves with a straightaway between them, which has been replaced by a single, 180-degree curve. Copy-pasting the old quarter turn onto the end to make a complete turnaround has the track lining up with the canopy supports, which is tighter than the new track.

That looks markedly similar to when I assemble my son's Thomas the Tank Engine tracks.

I hooked my daughter's Thomas the Tank set up to a LSM to give it a boost. Was hoping for 120mph!

Oh the memories this brings back. When we carpeted our basement 20+ years ago we went into the store with track pieces to make sure that it would lay flat on the carpet that we chose. If it did not we did not even consider that carpet.
