Construction Notice - State Route 4, North of US 20

There was an article in the Sandusky Register on Sunday, September 5th, which stated that State Route 4 will be undergoing ODOT resurfacing and other work. The work begins Tuesday, September 6, 2004. It encompasses State Route 4, north of US 20, all the way to Perkins Avenue, which is well north of State Route 2. The period of time they announced was eight weeks, with completion in late October. It looks like they will be starting with US 20, and working north. Essentially, State Route 4 will be one big bottleneck, somewhere, for nearly all of Halloweekends!

I would strongly suggest bailing out to Monroeville on State Route 547, and coming out of Monroeville to Sandusky, maybe popping out on Bogart Rd from Patten Tract Road, which is between SR 4 and Campbell Street. There are a lot of ways from Monroeville to Sandusky which do not involve US 250, or State Route 4. A little research will yield a good alternate route. Good Luck to all!

Thanks, Tank. I guess I'll be taking US 6 in from the turnpike at exit 91 rather than Rt 4.
