It would be nice if the announced it this weekend at the conference(since I will be there) but I don't belive it will happen... I am still saying it won't happen until the end of October.

1.Cedar Point (vote best CP Recreation ever)
2.Kings Island

I'm just hoping that whatever announcement is made, that it isn't made so late that a "farewell" trip isn't possible, if it was necessary. I'm still griping about Fascination, and not getting that last game.

Just a minor note about IAAPA at CP this week.  It's not the full trade show.  That's in Orlando in mid-November.  CP is hosting a (late) summer conference.

I heard that the announcement was also being partially influenced by the sale of 2002 Season Passes.  If it is slow, they will make the announcement earlier to drum up the business.  If it is going well, then they might just continue the anticipation.
To add to ShiveringTim's post... this conference is not a trade show... basically IAAPA will visit several local attraction(most which are IAAPA members)... Cedar Point was planning on offering a few events(no ERT)... but the whole event isn't just at Cedar Point... for example on Saturday night we were planning on going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I thought that I read that the CP/IAAPA thing had been cancelled.  Anyone?
Yeah, I read it in another post. Someone had a link to the Sandusky Register's site.
OK I give. What announcement are you guys expecting to hear?
