Since "a few weeks" can be anything more the 3 and up to whatever, does any one care to speculate from that release when the announcement will be? I don't.

Well thats all charming Playa, but some of us have jobs where we can surf the internet WHILE at work! So in essence, I only took 15 minutes off of my day. But, my claim of a ripoff stems from the Pre-Announcement 'HYPE' of the conference call, not in actual dollars lost.

Grandpa always told me, to Never "ASSUME", because when you do, it makes an "ASS" out of "U" and "ME"

Is it any coincidence that those who lack a clue also have no sense of humor?

It was a quarterly conference call. They call it 'quarterly' because they do it four times a year (like a quarter-year, get it?) whether they're building a new coaster, buying another theme park or just surfing the web...at home in their underwear, of course.

But you uh, assumed they'd be discussing the new coaster and then posted your outrage with your new ears and tail showing. I guess it's too bad Grandpa wasn't around to cuff you in the back of the neck, eh?

Now, 'playa, unlike those of us who are FUN investors and/or have been regulars on the CF emailing lists, he probably didn't realize that this was only a review of attendance and earnings for CF, and that announcements and information on rides and improvements are made separately first.

Although I do wonder about the claim of "HYPE". All I received was an email (which I get every quarter) that said when the conference call was to take place. I don't consider a single email to be "hype"

When they are going to make an announcement, you will know it. They aren't going to forego all of the free publicity they can get by announcing it in a quarterly conference call that noone other than business junkies is going to listen to.

They are going to call the media and say, "Big News...send a reporter...send sattellite trucks, we will have video."

Someone, with a name that rhymes with Heff, will probably say, "hey ya'll, there is an announcement forthcoming on ________. I'll be there and report what I find out." (Though he will make that sound more cool than I did.)

Hmm, perhaps Jeff should move these posts into the "why are we so mean" thread that was prevalent here before. Sometimes cynicism can really bring out the "ugly" in folks.

There must be a chat room somewhere that you guys could settle this in with out involving the rest of us.

It was a financial conference call for analysts. It was never presented as anything more. I've listened to these countless times (they're boring as hell, for the record).

Yes, when they make the big announcement, you'll know about it.

So they said the announcment will be in a few weeks? If that is true that is not bad because wll will be expecting it sooner or later. So there is no need to argue.
