Companies that use filters usually block access to proxy sites as well.

Yes thats a good question do you type the proxy then the web address? They have blocked alot of things at my school too. They did not block cedarpoint.com but they did block this site...its soo sad.

Many companies will actually fire employees for using the internet for non job related purposes.

well im a manager.. its a corporate thing but they have no establised rules against cedar point or sports.. the rules are aginast porn of course and online gaming i asked my GM and he said sports are fine....... but the off site company controls everything.. he brings his laptop in and uses it but i cant do that with my position

I would get it in writing that it's OK to look at the webcams before I actually did it. :P

Luckily I have an employer who really doesn't care what we do as long as we get our work done.

No, not at all. I meant that although its spanish, some of the words look sinular english. I am sorry if I sounded sarcastic.

oh i c no problem im gonna try it.. i hope it works

Here's a complicated solution...

At home, set up a cron job (or equivalent on your platform) that downloads the webcam images at whatever interval.

At work, connect to your home computer via ssh, secure FTP, or HTTP to retrieve the images. If your home IP address changes frequently, use a service such as DynDNS to keep track of it for you, or use a daemon on your machine that will send you an email (at work, of course) each time your IP address changes.

That's the way a geek would do it. :)

But dosn't that cost money? Im just wondering.

ride man you lost me at hello.. i am so not computer savvy i wish i knew how to connect to my home computer even if i had to pay a small fee

heh Dave, that CustomDNS service from DynDNS is very nice. :)

I can't even, unfortunately, think of a way all that could be accomplished on Windows. Friendly OS, let me tell you.
