This may be hard for most of you to answer. I've lost 170 pounds over the last three years, so fitting into things (rides, restaurant booths) was always something I had to think about. Now that I'm able to get back on/into most coasters, and am planning on doing some traveling around next summer to visit some parks in the region, I'm wondering how different trains compare.
How would you compare seat dimensions and "feel" between the PTC trains on Blue Streak or Mean Streak to the PTC trains on the newer woodies like The Voyage or Ravine Flyer II.
Secondly, how would you compare PTC trains to the Millennium Flyers on GCI Coasters.
Thanks for your input.
Merry Christmas to all!
How much more weight loss will it take to get on Raptor, Mantis, MF and TTD?
The millenium flyer trains seemed more spacious than PTC trains. Its more like you're sitting on a couch than in a roller coaster. The PTC trains are all the same I think. Blue streak has those headrests but other than that I don't remember any differences.
I think the Millennium Flyer seats are only slightly wider than the PTC's. They feel more comfortable because the lapbar has an unobtrusive center vertical bar instead of that strange bent thing.

Yeah...having that vertical bar in the center allows you to sit in a more natural position than having to move your knees to one side. Be it ever so slight.

I much prefer the vertical bar, however, the massive weight that crushes you is kind of annoying, but oh well.
I know for me I am on the smaller size I am tall and thin and I like how the Millennium trains are set up. There is more leg room for me.
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
I've ridden the Voyage many times. The seats don't seem to be much, if any wider than those on Blue Streak, but the seat belts themselves are MUCH longer. I would say that a very large person could ride the Voyage without much difficulty.
If you have thick legs, sometimes it is hard to get to the first click point on the millennium fliers. I have been close to not fitting. Besides that the millennium fliers are much more comfortable in my opinion than the PTC's. The seat divider in the new PTC trains do not give as much as the old seat dividers and can be uncomfortable if you have wide hips.
