Commemorative Coin?

Has anyone received an email about winning a commemorative coin from the CP blog?

I haven't received an e-mail yet, and I've been waiting for Tony to post a list of the winners on the blog, like he said he would.

Oh well. I guess I shouldn't watch the pot boil.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Just fyi....the list is now posted.....my daughter just let me know, cause MY name just happened to be on the list!

It's gonna be a great day! :)

Darn, my parents didn't win!

Here's the blog entry with the complete list: https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/Congrats

I didn't want to start another new thread but I had been thinking a while about logos and fonts and seeing the coin has reminded me of it.

I'm not crazy about the new Cedar Point logo with the chunky letters. I think Cedar Point's logo looked its best with this one:

I think we even had that bumper sticker at one time. It fit in well when CP had the paddlewheel boats, not sure if it would fit now but I still think it looks good and fits into a lake atmosphere.

I also think Kings Island should revert back to its earliest logo or even close to Cedar Fair's current font. It has a more medieval or "royal" feel.

There are some variances in the different park logos but many of them kind of end up looking the same, Knotts being the only one looking truly different and fittingly like the logo on their products. I think it's cooler that each park got its own look in branding. Otherwise it gives me the initial impression all these parks offer the same thing, just a different locale. What makes *this* park different from the rest?

Does anyone else have any impressions about the logos?

I agree that for the most part, they are all the same. I wonder if changing the logos is something management would ever look into. Especially with their trend of preserving the past. Although, I would like Cedar Point's green logo to stay. I really like that.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Just received my coin in the mail...pretty cool! Anyone else get theirs yet?

Sending a Thank you to CP and Tony! Thinking about adding a ribbon and using as a Christmas ornament on the tree!

Yes I received mine yesterday as well. I also sent an email thanking CP as well as Tony.Nice touch was the letter mailed with the coin. Now tony said we cannot put theses coins on Ebay..however he didnt say anything about the signed letter.Wonder how much a signed letter from Tony goes for!!!! :)

In the future, I'd love to see a green track, blue support coaster. I also think black, purple, and white would be a cool color combo. Also maybe a bright orange track would be nice to have. I'm ready for some more variety and more bold colors in coasters at the park.
