Coming from Oregon 10/15 - 10/18th..questions?...

I am readong some people have said not all rides are running? Will I run into issues at that time with rides being down? That is my biggest fear of going there from here on a family trip, and finding many of the rides I have heard about are not open. I am not concerned with any kiddie rides, just all the coasters and such I want to be able to go on.

Any other suggestions from a way out of stater for their first time to Cedar Point?

As of right now, all of the roller coasters are running, with the exception of Wicked Twister. Whether or not it's running when you are here remains to be seen. Coasters still sometimes have minor technical glitches on occasion, but nothing that I would be concerned about.

Friday nights = limited ride availability.

Check the Cedar Point website, or search the Halloweekends threads for a list of which rides will be open on Fridays.

Cedar Point is only open October 15, 16, and 17. Are you staying in Sandusky an extra day?
Yes, statying till Monday and leaving in the evening on Monday from Cleveland. I wanted to get a full Sunday in so staying another night.

Well bummer wicked twister is not open, is it down for any reason or just the day you went? I am stayin at the breakers Friday & Saturday night then at a local hotel sunday night.

oh ya, forgot to say, Wicked Twister was one of the top 3 I wanted to go on too! I have never been on one like that before except Supermand at Magic mountain which is not exactly like that anyways. I do hope it will be up. Any word on when it will be open? So glad I found these boards for the park!
just returned from the weekend, 24-26, wicked twister was down, but everything else was going. Friday night was nice, if you are staying in the park hotels, you get in 1/2 hour before the general public. we did Millie 4 times on/off before the line increased. TTD was running but by the time we arrived it had a line. Friday night was overall a medium crowd. Sat. was packed, long lines for TTD and Milles, Raptor was light. We got freeway hand stamp for TTD as the line was about 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon. When we went to ride it at 6 PM, it broke down for 2 to 3 hours. Spoke top a lady Sun. morn who was in line for TTD until 2 am sat/Sunday morn wairing for her ride on TTD. Sunday Morn early entry was great, 3 walk ons on mille, then 2 rides on TTD with a 10 minute wait. Park did not start filling up until about noon, even then the crowds were light.
Where in Oregon?!?!?! I live in Bend Oregon, never thought id see anyone from there.
