I'm planning on buying a season pass this year and was wondering if it was worth it to get the Soak City option put on or not. I have never been to Soak City, or a water park period for that matter, so I was wondering if Soak City has enough of a re-visit potenital to bother with the Combo Pass. Any responses would be great!
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
I've taken my family to Soak City a few times and each time we become less impressed with it. I think it's one of those places that once or twice is enough before it loses its excitement. That's just my family's opinion. I'm sure other people will disagree. If you really like waterparks, then perhaps you should buy the combo pass.
Soak City is only open 3 out of the 6 months CP is open. If you like water parks and go to the park in the summer months then yeah it'd be a great buy, but I usually go in May and October so I'd have no use for one.

I found Soak City a good place to cool off this past summer when I got in with my employee ID. Enough where I bought the Combo Pass this year. I figured if I bought the season pass with Geauga Lake add-on, I'd only need to go to Soak City once to make the full Combo worth it.
Soak City is really a nice change of pace, and in my opinion, worth visiting a few times over the summer.
When I bought my pass in the fall, it was only $18 more to get a combo pass then what it would have been to get a regular pass with parking, Joe Cool, and Geauga Lake.

I was skepitcal about the water park thing for a long time---after all, why would you "waste" time in SC when CP was *right there*?
Three seasons ago, my wife talked me into going to give my then-toddler something else to do beyond kiddie kingdom. Since then, we've only enjoyed it *more* each season. I wouldn't even consider *not* getting a combo pass.
If your closer to GL like I am SC is not worth it. I got the CP, GL joint pass and with GL's new waterpark I have no need for SC.
I think it is worth it. We usually spend Saturday at Soak City when the The Point is packed. Then we go to The Point after dark when things have thinned out a bit. Then we spend all day Sunday at The Point until time for the long ride home. The crowds seem alot smaller on Sunday. If you only are going to use your passes 3 or 4 times a year, it might not be worth it.
I've wondered about this myself. I've had a season pass since '02, and I've told myself I'll go once, and pay full fare. If I like it I'll get a combo pass the next year. Haven't been there yet. I did get a GL add-on, so perhaps I'll try that for next-to-free(parking).
