CoasterMonkey, how long is that route? I have never actually drivin to CP before (always bus trips with school), and haven't been since 1998, so we were just going to go 71N ->OH13->US-250. (or that's pretty much the jist of it) If something is faster/less traffic, etc....that would be really nice!

Someone who is close (or will be close, heh)! I live in Reynoldsburg!CoasterMonkey, how long is that route?
Kinda freaky that someone else on this board lives in Reynoldsburg! So do I! :)
The 270-23-98-4 Rte is 125.3 miles from my driveway to the causeway and takes approx 2.5-2.75 hours depending on traffic on 270 and 23.Trust me...not only do I know that by heart, I know every single cow, horse, bump in the road and restroom from here to Sandusky and back!!! :) 15 trips/season and working at CP in the Fall does that!! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
The 270-23-98-4 Rte is the way I've been going for the past 11 years. It is the fastest. Some friends of mine went the Rte 13 way last year and I went Rte 4...I beat them to the Radison by about a half hour.

Wow, look at all the local folks!!! :)Well, I guess it looks like we maybe going the 270-23-98-4 route! Do any of you have the exit #'s for all the exits to transition to one route to another?
Depending on what time I leave to go to CP there is also another sneaky back route which I highly recommend to avoid the constant traffic mess on 23. Take 256N to 36/37W-36/37 will take you to downtown Delaware, and right to 23N. You still have to deal with 23N but not the traffic jams cause of the shopping centers, you're past them by this point. Again, this all depends on what time you are planning to leave. If early enough if the a.m. 23 is a cake walk, after 7am it can get ugly.
Here is the 23-98-4 route:
I will assume you know 23N from 270, stay on 23N for almost 30 minutes, no I don't know the exit# for 98 except it's right after the speed limit changes to 65. It's the Waldo and Bucyrus exit. You will go north at the stop sign which is right. If you miss that exit don't freak, a couple exits later is Rte 4, which you can take too. I prefer 98 because the blacktop was all redone in '01. Once on 98 (or if you miss it, 4) then pretty much just sit back and relax. You will go through a few little towns. Shortly after arriving in Bucyrus, Rte 98 turns into Rte 4, you don't have to do a thing, you're on it. Stop at Hardees in Bucyrus and get a frisco breakfast (if a.m.) or a frisco burger (if p.m.) for me :) Once you get past Bucyrus, it's again another boring haul to Sandusky. from there, straight shot to First St. There aren't any CP signs until you're in Sandusky, but many of the road signs will tell you how many miles till Sandusky. (49 from Bucyrus ;))
Simply put, if you stay on Rte 4N you will eventually hit CP.BTW-if you ever see a big black 4x4 Cedar Point truck (which you would understand if you ever saw it) zooming around Reynoldsburg or Pataskala, that would be ME! Make sure you wave hi! :)
