Color Scheme Revisited...

They tore this down to make room for Xcelerator. Cedar Point builds a Xcelerator clone using the now destroyed colors.

It all has a weird six degrees of Kevin Bacon vibe about it. ;)

Maybe we are paying homage. HAHA, i dont know about these colors yet. The white just seems weird, but i cant wait to see how CP ties it all together. This gets more interesting everyday!

I could have sworn I saw a picture on twisted rails that had a caption refering to the launch being painted or repainted after the launch hardware was installed on the track. Anyone see anything like this?

You know, that joke would back up the restaurant rumors. Maybe the line for the ride will be themed to a McDonalds. Nope, I don't think Cedar Fair is that bad at theming. :)

I have to admit, those colors really have me stumped. I might be mistaken, but didn't somebody mention some blue track that's supposed to be delivered? Yellow is one of my least favorite colors, but it does look good on the beach with the teal on Wicked Twister. I think that's extremely odd, two coasters with yellow in the color scheme in two consecutive years(and a LOT of yellow too, by the looks of the new tower).

I just realized something. If the red and white pieces of tracked were alternating, that would give a strobe effect and seriously increase the sensation of speed....what do you think?

Consider also that it would fit into a "dragster" theme, as the edges of some race tracks in turns (don't know about drag strips) have red and white alternating paint along the edge.

Yeah I was thinking about that too... I've heard them called "candy cane" turns. They have some at Belle Isle here in Detroit that you can drive on anytime (but are used for the Detroit Grand Prix).

Well, it looks like we might have a white tophat. If you take a look at the webcam, you can see the red track ascending the tower. My guess is the red track will either be up at the top of the tower and/or on the overbanked turns (if we have them).
