With Coastermania coming up Friday, I would like to attend, but I am not currently in a roller coaster club. I also would not arrive at the park until 6PM. I understand guests are allowed and will probably ask to be someone's guest, BUT...
...I have a season pass. The information clerk seemed to think that I would need a ticket. Would I really need to buy a park ticket if I already have a season pass, simply because I would be someone's guest? Or can my "Sponsor" get me a ticket for just the event, where I can enter the park with my pass, and then meet up with my "Sponsor" before the event starts for them to give me the ticket? I called after 5pm, so I doubt I was speaking with someone In the Know(tm).
Thanks ahead of time,
Sam

I guess I should have read your post first. Your "sponsor" needs to meet you at the front of the park to register you. They show their Club card and let the teller know you are their guest. That should be all you need to do. A ticket should not be necessary.
