What is CoasterMania? There is nothing BIG on the CP website about it. Do we have to pay more? Or what's the deal?

Coastermania is an annual event where coaster club members can get some exclusive ride time (in the morning before the park opens and after the park closes. It includes a lunch,and a group meeting with Cedar Fair's President, Dick Kinzel, and CP's general manager.

I tried that aceonline.org website and went where I was supposed to but it came up with errors loading the page in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Can a club member sponsor any non-club members into the event? If so, what price does the non-member pay?

Cool, so here's the deal, I'm a season pass holder, and a CBuzz club member. I get in for nothing, and my girlfriend, who has no pass or club membership, pays like the 30 bux or whatever to get in right? Hope I got that all right... :)

Vince. The day of CoasterMania is a Friday in June which would score you 10 bucks off with the cans. But that's a moot point because admission into CM is 32 anyway so there is no need for any Pepsi cans.

Are Coastermania crowds very heavy?

Since MF was built, yes, Coastermania has been drawing very large crowds for a park-sponsored event. I feel that since now only one guest can attend with a club member that the crowds will be a bit more tolerable this year.

Yes, CoasterBuzz Club members are welcome at the event (and judging by the flood of new Ohio members the last two weeks, will likely make up a pretty serious percentage of the people there).

Is preregistration with Cedar Point necessary for this event? Or do I just show up with my 1 guest, myself and my CB card, season pass and $30 and I am good to go?

they have rooms for friday night for 79.00,it's on rye beach rd.huron! breakers express is sold out!

If you're a federal, state or city employee the HoJo isn't bad either. Just be sure you call the national reservation line and ask for the government rate. I don't think I'm paying more than $53 for any room in Ohio. Sandusky is $48.

Best Western also has a government rate. Any case give it a try. Your results may vary.
