Note that TT2 events have been removed from the itinerary (also noted in the Extended Closure thread).
I have to work night shift this weekend so I had no chance of attending Coastermania. Anyone reading this that gets upset that TT2 isn’t open while you are attending the event please contact me so we can trade places!
After some questionable forecasts, it looks like the weather might hold out the next two days. A little cooler than I'd like it to be, but I'm certainly not going to complain. Excited for a few days at the park!

Has the draconian Cedar Point rain policy ever affected a Coastermania? Imagine a large group of enthusiasts, many from all over the country with other home parks, suddenly learning that the coasters in Sandusky close if someone overwaters their lawn in Huron.

Back in 1996, Mantis was the new coaster. Janice Liffke welcomed the coastermania group with "welcome to the worlds' largest water ride". We rode Mantis morning ERT in the rain.

Some of my best memories was during "Millennium Mania" in which we had torrential downpours all evening long and we were marathoning everything in the pouring rain. Nothing was closed.
And now a drizzle halts all operations... Only at Cedar Point!

Does anyone have two spare CoasterMania tickets? We missed out, but still made the trip... despite TT2 being down.
Yea, Millennium Mania was probably the greatest CP event ever. Rode MF for 2 1/2 hours straight in a driving rain at night. Bought a Gore-Tex rainsuit when I got home. Good times!
I made it to Millennium Mania also. Sparse crowds, ride all you want.
I rode Raptor on the front row 10 times in a row in the pouring rain.
It was after 911 in 2001 so it was surprising that they went through with it.
Question for the Friday attendee's; as we passed by Gemini around noon there was a line-up of several hundred people that were let through that service gate behind the restrooms near the RR tracks. Was that a Coastermania tour of some sort going to the Sign Shop or Research & Planning or lunch or something?
