CoasterMania 2022

I haven’t seen an announcement on their socials, but on the Cedar Point app under events, Coaster Mania 2022 is listed for Friday June 3. That in itself may not be news, but the biggest part is it states one is no longer required to have a coaster club membership to attend.

(Forgive me and feel free to delete this thread if this is not new news.)

What a breath of fresh air!

That's bad news for the coaster clubs, as I suspect many members were members specifically just for that event. HWN is another big one. But I'm curious if this will also mean opening the event up to more tickets being sold. I could see this becoming another WCO situation with many frustrated enthusiasts if people miss out on tickets due to them opening it up to anyone.

I still plan on renewing to GOCC, too inexpensive not to.

^I have some random trinkets around the house that I'd love to sell you.

It is a drag for CoasterBuzz Club for sure. A significant portion of the operating costs (including for this site) are paid for by that revenue.

They go on sale Wednesday April 13 at 10am.

Received this e-mail this morning from CP in response thru their 'contact us'.

Got mine, was #293 in ticket queue line. Entered at 10:00 am, finalized at 10:09 am. E-ticket printed out. Yeay !

Wonder how many they are selling?

It's open to the GP, so probably enough so that all the Goldpassers can buy one. Have fun.
