Coastermania 2008

This will be our first time to Coastermania. Any ideas of how many antendees will be there? What are the wait times like for the coasters at this time? Any other advice?

last year millie and raptor were both walk on most of the morning, maverick had about a 45 min wait. the crowds weren't all that bad until the park opened up to the public.

Yeah the crowds arent as bad as i thought on a Coastermania day..its actually not that bad. :)

As far as crowds go for coastermania most of them seem to be school groups, it is like one of those days where the bus parking fills up and regualr parking is half full

yeah, schools are still in session so most of the visitors at the park are from schools. And while there may be a ton of schools there, they don't really have a huge impact on the crowds even when combined with all the Coastermania people. So in all, it's not that busy. Last year was my first time to CM, and now I'm hooked.

I thought it seemed like a typical Saturday at the point when I was there last year (Maybe like a late June Saturday, nothing to unbearable to wait through though). ERT gave me some of the best rides I had all year simply because everyone in the trains were all ecstatic about riding. I just loved pulling into the unload station on Millennium Force with everyone cheering and then bolting for another ride. I'm not sure of his name, but I believe that ACE member that wears the "Single Rider" shirt got well over 30 rides on Millennium Force in the two hours we had (I only got about 6 then moved on to other rides). Quite fun to watch him sprint after each ride.
