Coaster Patches

Here's a question I have been wondering since the end of the 1999 season. Does CP still sell coaster patches at the gift shops of ALL of the coasters, or are some of them no longer available? The one I have been hunting for is Magnum, but could not find one at the park. Is it still being produced, or is it no longer available? How much do they sell them for?

Hey Vince, I am a collector of patches. (IF ANYONE HAS ANY EXTRA I AM ALWAYS BUYING) Anyway yes they do sell them in the park and the average price is around $3.50. Most of the gift shops have them. I know that Pagoda and Park Plaza usually have all of them. Places like Power Station and the Emporium usually only have a few. This past year they had:

Magnum
Mantis
Blue Streak
Demon Drop
Gemini
Mean Streak
Raptor

The problem with the Raptor one is that during the second half of the year they sold out and they don't have any more. I wish that they made a Power Tower patch and one for Magnum's ten year anniversary. If you are really serious about them as I am look at the children's clothes next time you are in the park. Why? During the last two seasons they have sold a child's outfit that has a patch on it that says Cedar Point Park Ranger. I spent the $25 on it just for the patch!

There are other patches that I have seen, there is an older design for the Demon Drop which they don't sell in the park anymore and I think they had one for one of the Blue Streak's anniversaries (which I am still waiting for Jeff to give me ) There is also a patch with the 125 Summers Logo on it.

The two hard ones to get are the Distater Transport patch, and the Camp Snoopy patch. Both of which they do not sell in the park. I have all of my patches on a jacket and one day I got in line for DT. The girl working the entrance saw my jacket and was upset that I didn't have the DT patch. When I got up to the platform someone on the crew handed me the patch and said that next time I come to the park this better be on my jacket. So next time I went to the park I wore the jacket and the crew loved it!

Finally if you go over to eBay and do a Cedar Point search there are currently four patches on there including the Magnum one!

Ok Dan is making me drool here..I really want that employee DISpatch mASTER TRANSPORT patch..Someone out there must be willing to sell or trade up for something of mine....

Must be nice to be a mod.  Way to dig up an old thread Sparty, we are both looking for patches, I know Putz has two I need!  They make great birthday gifts if someone birthday is coming up.  I have several extras of the new ones if anyone is interested in trading.

Dan, I have that silver anniversary one for the Blue Streak let me know if you want to do a trade.

Thanks Sky Kicker but that first post is two years old I got the patch about a year ago off eBay.

Is the DISpatch mASTER TRANSPORT employee patch off the old bright orange jumpsuit uniforms?  Didn't those uniforms have several patches on them? 

Yes it is parrothead..The new White Cadet uni's have the same patch but a smaller version..Either is fine with me to be honest..And no thats the only patch on the uni's, orange or white!

I'll post pics of our Jackets (Dan's and Sparty's) on my webpage later tonight so you guys can see what we already have and what were looking for if that helps or if anyone just wants to see what we've collected so far and the Jacket progress..

I currently have 17 CP patches and I believe Dan has 16...Were not in competition with each other but rather helping each other out to be honest..Sure we both have a couple patches the other doesn't but we'd much rather see the other find those they don't have..Although we have been known to outduel each other on ebay from time to time..hehe :)

Cool jackets and nice shirt Dan. lol. I want to see that documentary on the Discovery Channel again, because the last time I saw it was in the summer, and  only came to this sight in October, so I would probably recognize some faces. :)
