Coaster Mania 2003

I've been a reader for some time now, but this is my first post, so please bear with me. I was just wondering what coaster mania is like. I live in far away, so I want to get the most out of my trip. I guess what I am trying to ask is what are the crowds like, and how long are the wait times during the ERT sessions? Thanks for your help!
All I can tell you is its awsome. An hour and half to 2 hours of riding before the general public. http://www.coasterbuzz.com/pdf/CoasterMania2003.pdf

Is coastermania for anybody?
No offense. . .but one would assume that if someone was looking for more info about Coaster Mania (such as if it's "for anybody"), they would click the link, and read the information.

If one would do that, they would easily see that Coaster Mania is for members of various coaster clubs. . .the information is on the PDF.

Ross: Rachel's pregnant.
Joey: Oh my God!!! I can't believe that!!
Phoebe: Holy mother of God!!!
Ross: With my child.
Phoebe: That is brand new information!!

I'll be at CP during coastermainia, but I'll be working. :(

You could always ask for the day off before you start working there. That's what I'm going to do.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

That's a tough day to get off if you're working at CP..

And if you're on a ride that has ERT.. even more so..

That was the only day I asked off on my application, and I'm working on Thunder Canyon so I don't think it will be a problem.

I have the Breakers East room eyed that I want (HNSPS)... but I need someone to go... I'm currently spinning through all my friends... hopefully one of them can afford their half ($280 + tax and etc)... time will tell.

Otherwise, there's that Best Western that I usually go to (due to the age thing, which I'm trying to avoid this trip).

But I will definitely be there.

Ok I have a question. I just want to make sure im reading this right. So lets say I want to setup a group of 6 people to go. If 3 get say coasterbuzz memberships the other 3 should be able to get in as guests correct? All of us would be season pass holders. Will that work like I think?

Well, no response to my email, so reposting:

I believe you'd be correct with the 3 x 3 idea. Three people would need to be CoasterClub members, and the other 3 could go as the guests of the members.

I have a question about Breakers -- or any of the other resorts on the peninsula for that matter.

I assume that they will only be letting people register at the front gate at 5am -- not at any of the two entrances by Breakers. Will the shuttle be running that early? Or will Breakers guests have to drive over to the main lot (or is the walk doable -- I've stayed at Breakers twice and never even seen the front gate). If it's too much of a hassle I guess I can save some serious coin and stay at Express.

Thanks in advance.

There really isn't a way to walk from Breakers/Lighthouse Point/Camper Villiage to the front gate without going through the park.

You are not allowed on the beach past the jet ski's since WT was installed and walking on Perimiter road is a large no-no as there are signs at both end of it stating so (one right near MS and one right near Wildcat).

Rob, thanks. The last time I was there was in 2001 and I knew walking counter-clockwise past the Marina to the gate would be treacherous at best -- and we once used the beach entrance out by Disaster Transport and I figured there was probably a good reason why nobody was using it to go to the front. Thanks.

So, to anyone who has stayed in the peninsula during CoasterMania did the shuttle start up early that day or is it possible to register from the gate there? Or, well, did you just drive over the main lot?

Yes, the shuttle was out and about bright & early last year.

If im not mistaken, the shuttle runs 24 hours a day. You just have to call the Breakers I think to get one.

Yes the shuttle runs 24/7. You do have to call from one of the shuttle pick up locations to the Breakers because after midnight, it does not make frequent trips around the peninsula. If I remember correctly, I thought the resort gate was open, but I could be wrong...it's been a while! :-)

Excellent! Thanks for all the info.
My question is, how many people are usually there at like 630am
