Coaster Mania

I was curious how you get to become a part of this? Do you need to join ACE or a group like it? If so what group do you suggest? Also, how do you get into the park on the day of Coaster Mania does the club you are in send you something? Sorry if these are stupid questions.

All you have to do is belong to any coaster club you wish. I belong to the western new york coaster club and I have been going ever since 2000 You don't have to participate in the club. All you have to do is have a coaster club card. You go to CP present your card and you get in thats all you have to do. You don't even have to know anyone in the club either. I only joined in 2000 just so I could go to CP and have ERT. I wasn't able to go this year, thats why i'm e-mailing you now.

It does have to be an approved coaster group. You cannot print a "club" card off at home and say that you belong to the BGSU98 Coaster Club. You can contact the park about what clubs are eligible.

Jeff's other site (coasterbuzz) is on the approved list, so you can pay to join there and get access to coaster mania. However it might be a bit late at this point to get your membership processed to any of the clubs in time to be able to attend.

Yeah, I'm not delivering your membership card today. :)

Perhaps for an additional fee of oh say $250 it can be done....too Cheap??

You guys have fun this weekend! I am jealous. I guess I'm going to have to head over to the Dania Beach Hurricane for a fix.

Good news for me though: In late August I'm heading up to Busch Gardens for a behind the scenes tour and a chance to ride their new vertical drop coaster...as well as some of the others I've missed in the past few years. In Florida that is the next best thing to Cedar Point. IOA is nice but I need more than 2 coasters.

The Hurricane is good ride to get yourself psyched up for Cedar Point, I live about 10 minutes away.

I can't wait to get back to CP, come on August 14!!! Can anyone tell me what the weather and lines will be like on that day? JUST KIDDING!!!

Seriously, you guys who are able to go to CP more than once a year should be grateful. Don't take it for granted. The quantity and quality of coasters all in one place is incredible.

Sorry that I don't know this, but what exactly is CoasterMania? Do you just get in when the park is empty? Just in the morning? of what.

If you are the member of a coaster club, such as ACE, or Jeff's other site, Coaster Buzz, you can go to Coaster Mania. What you get is this, park opens at I believe 5:30 and you get exclusive ride time on select coasters, which ones varies each year. You get a nice picnic lunch at around noon, and then special ride time on select coasters and other rides after the park closes.
