I had a thought today that it would be cool if some of the coasters at Cedar Point had football jerseys we could all buy. For instance, Gatekeeper would have a jersey fashioned in its colors with a screen printed logo on the front with Cedar Point in the name area and the number be the year the coaster opened.
I think people would definately buy these items. They could also have Millennium Force in a Blue and Silver, Magnum in a Orange and black or silver, Maverick in Rust Red and Brown, Raptor in Green and Black and so on. What do you all think?
If this did come to fruition, I would have to have a ton of cash to buy the entire set. Maybe if it did the coasters that to not exist anymore would be available online at a special order or something. Just an idea.
Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved
Sounds like a great idea. The color schemes are unique for each ride and the logos for each ride would work perfect as the "team" logo.
Not to mention there are literally hundreds of different styles of jerseys so each coaster could have a very distinct jersey.
I also like the idea of the number on the jersey to be the year it opened. Blue Streak would be easy, they could just use the high schools uniforms ;)
I am glad I am not the only one who loves this idea. Football jerseys could just be the starting point and they could branch out to other sports jerseys. I could see them doing basketball ones as well that they could use for the 3 point challenge games. Hockey ones would be great sellers in the colder months of operation.
Edit: Also on the shoulders of the jersey could be Cedar Point logo and the Ride Warriors logo on the other. They could brand them as Ride Warrior coaster jersey line.
I'm a baseball fan, so baseball jerseys would be way cooler for me. Unrelated but the Toledo Mud Hens have a cool jersey this weekend:
