Coaster Hurt and Coaster Helped

Which coaster will loose the most buisness because of the wicked twister and which one will gain the most?

I think that Disastor Transport will gain a lot, and that Corkscrew and Blue Streak will loose people cuz of Wicked Twister.

loose - Not tight

lose - Misplace

cuz - Not even a word

Such a creative topic name ruined with bad english...

I think Wicked Twister is just another coaster that people will go on, and traffic will be evenly "removed" from the park and "placed" back into the Oceania Midway.

Since there will be more traffic back at the Oceania Midway, I really hope that they will fix up Disaster Transport to what it was when it first opened.  :)

He's not being a jerk, I know where he's coming from. Poor grammar and "words" like cuz, u, etc. are irritating and hard to read. What's wrong with putting a little thought and effort into a post? I usually write my post in MS Word, spell check, and then paste it into the web browser. It's just a little bit more effort, but it would make the site much nicer if everyone would do that.

ANYWAY!  Back to the topic in question.  I think that the Mine Ride will feel even more pinch with the crowd focusing on the front of the par.  Of course DT will get more attention which is obviously a good thing since it has potential as long as ops and maintainence has the generosity to keep it functioning and tidy.

"Boo!" "Kitty!"
O but i would like it if the Mine Ride would become less cowded (if possible). That means fun rides over and over again! I'm looking also looking forward to the same happening to Blue Streak when they (hopefully) put a new coaster in the back.

"Ugh..."
I think DT will get more traffic simply for the reason..."Well Wicked Twister's line is pretty long right now, I'll just go on DT"

It's gonna be a nightmare at DT when it rains, assuming Wicked Twister will probably be closed.  Everyone will more than likely go to the closest coaster or stay in line. That will mean even longer lines for DT on days with rain.

Actually, why would they close WT when it rains? MF goes 93 mph and they keep it open. When you sit in the front, it may be the most excruciating thing you've ever felt in you entire life, but they still keep it open. :) It's super-sweet watching rain "fall up" and you'd be able to see it really well in the front.

But-- what if for some odd strange far out unexplainable reason, CP decides to add an identical fastpass system (even though its trademarked) to every ride.  That would possibly support the main idea of this topic.  What I mean is, people would get a pass to WT, then head over to DT while they were elapsing time for WT.
It's already said it won't be a pay-to-ride attraction. So I doubt it.

Whooops....I probably should of mentioned in my post that it was the Disney type of pass.  There could be some problems but they could be easily worked around.
This kind of system was tried on MF in 2000, and it worked horribly. I don't think we will see its return.

I would expect some system to be instated if lines get to be too long.  CP has repeatedly reported that it is continually looking for solutions to reduce queue line waits. However, considering there is an Impulse at SFWOA, I don't think lines will be that long.  I guess I can't really judge that until May.
The ticket-to-ride system they used on MF is nothing like the ones used at Disney and IOA!!!  If they did use the actual fastpass system throughout the park that would be a major plus!
It's not nothing like it, because it uses the same principle. It may look good on paper, but just like Communism, when unleashed in the real world, it worked horribly.

Now that they have the software bugs worked out of Fastpass at WDW, I have heard few, if any, complaints.  Having used it I can assure you that I felt it was a major plus.

I used Fastpass for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Little Mermaid (there were kids with us...but it is a good show anyway) and Rock 'N RollerCoaster and I don't think I will wait in the regular line ever again.

I think that DT will be giving many more rides than it has in the past. Also, to comment on the riding millenium force in the rain. They do close it in downpours, but light rain doesn't effect it, at least I have never seen it effect it. I was riding the ride in the front right as it started to rain(Blue Train). Anyways, it does hurt very much, but it's still fun. Plus, I had marks on my face to prove it. It was kind of like a temporary tattoo of a great ride at Cedar Point. A little rain never hurt anyone and I hate it when you get ready to get on a ride and they close it down for rain.
