Does anyone know the last time the DJ booths in some of the coaster queues were used and why they stopped using them? I think if CP hired some live DJs it could make the whole "experience" of waiting in line a little better. Maybe you could even request songs for the DJs to play. Just a thought.
Starting June 16, it will be used daily at Millennium Force and weekends only at Raptor.

Its only at Millenium and Raptor? What about Mantis and Millenium? ... Well I could tell you that rides like the Mean Streak barely fill up their q's to make it even worth paying someone to play music. I do have a DJ friend who would love to be a DJ at CP.

Right....so instead of double posting with opposing thoughts, you're just doing it in one post now? ;)

I tell you, it's a case of the 'M's. My guess is she meant Magnum. Those are the two longest lines in the park which have the DJ booths. As long as the other lines have music playing, I'm happy.

I asked about working as a DJ, however, my creditials differ significantly than a typical "wedding/club" DJ. Also, my material is on traditional format.
However, I could place it on the MiniDiscs that they have so I don't have to lug around heavy equipment.

Indy's back and just in time.
TTD's queue is too drawn out to have a DJ.

I guess this is my theme for the day: letting things sit around that go unused.
Does anyone else here remember when Mantis opened and we got to watch music videos on the screen?
Here's a million dollar idea;
Clean up the queue for magnum so that people can actually use the queue lines and not have to stand in what feels like a sweaty filled-beyond-capacity locker room trying to find a seat on Magnum. Then you could actually use the DJ booth again as well.
It's the little things...

Yeah, the station was getting packed yesterday and it was a little irritating, and now that you say it, it does feel somewhat like a sweaty co-ed locker room.
Now if I could just get all the guys to leave the platform please. :)

But if they changed Magnum station's design then there would actually be a line for 1:2, and 1:3! :)
As for why there isn't one for Magnum... what would the point be to have a DJ in Magnum's line? Rarely does the whole queue fill up for several hours, so it makes sense to stick DJs in the two rides with a DJ booth where there are long lines.

I remember when Mean Streak had a DJ booth. It pissed everybody off because they would only play country and oldies. Everybody kept requesting songs, but the all the DJ could do was apologize. This was probably around 1996.

As it is now, of course, because everyone is jammed up inside the queue. It's the most decieving line in the whole park...because there is no line, just a mess of people with no organization. If you HAD organization, and not everyone could actually be in the station, then there actually would be people in the queue.
This is exactly why I do not understand why nothing has been done in the station. It's one of the landmark coasters in your park, you have a queue that is never used anymore, and a station that is a 100% mess. Fix the station, use the queue, and viola...your "DJ box" isn't some unused waste of space anymore.

If they don't get Magnum's third train back on, there will be a nice line in the queues.
We used to let a lot of people up on the platform to increase our chances of finding single riders to fill the trains and make the line go faster, but since they're too lazy and to stuck behind their red lines and pillars to bother with that anymore, they might as well just keep it orderly up there.

The music at the DJ booth tends to be a bit loud also.

Why don't they have a DJ for TTD or Maverick?
Good idea for TTD. They could put him on the first level of the tower and he could spin. That would be extra tight.
