Coaster Club?

So, I got my platinum passes for christmas [ :) ] and I figured out that I would LOVE to go to Coastermania in 2010 (wow, thats this year.) It says on the Coastermania website that you have to join a coaster club in order to be eligible to attend. Right now, I'm not a memeber of one, but I would be willing to consider in order to be able to go to this AMAZING event.

The eligible clubs listed on the site are: American Coaster Enthusiasts, CoasterBuzz, Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts, Florida Coaster Club, Great Ohio Coaster Club, Western New York Coaster Club, Mid-Atlantic Coaster Club, National Amusment Park Historical Association, and Coaster Zombies.

I know that some people on here are part of a few of these clubs and I am seeking your help. I was wondering what club would be cost effective (cheap) and cost efficient (worth my money) for my family. I was also wondering what clubs have great perks, have things that my family could use/attend, as well as clubs that are built around a great group of people.

I know everyone always has good suggestions, and I`m looking forward to seeing your responses. Sorry for the long post, and happy 2010!

I suggest ACE, DAFE,or WNYCC,

I am a member of ACE and you get some great perks with them including Bi monthly newsletters and a quarterly magazine. There are also alot of nice people in ACE and they have a family plan if that is what you are interested in.

If your looking to join simpley to go to Coaster Mania, Great Ohio Coaster Club is the cheapest that I am aware of. It is $20. If you use Coaster Buzz, I'd suggest that one, since it also gets rid of the ads. It is $25.

Coaster Zombies is also only $20. Most clubs at the $20 to $30 level are all going to get you the same thing so its up to your personal choice as to which you think is better.

Or you can go to the park for CoasterMania and ask someone to get you in as their guest if you don't have a coaster membership.

I Would Suggest ACE They are known world wide.
And thanx for letting me know that i could ask some one to get me in for coaster mania and ask them to get me in as a guest !!!

Cool thanx for that info i have never thought of that!

About 4 years ago, I joined Coasterbuzz simply for access to Coastermania. I wanted to take advantage of other coaster events that year, and I could have. I just didn't have the time.

So with coastermania and the newer Boobuzz, it is a solid investment.

I am a fan of the Coasterbuzz club, it also gives you good discounts to Holiday World which is always a good time, and some other parks.

Yeah I'm in Coasterbuzz Club and I really enjoy it. Coastermania is obviously great, plus they have an event at Holiday World in the fall. Not to mention the discounts at various parks. Indiana Beach was half-price for me last year with my membership card.
